What isolation feet under your amp with great result?
It's absurd to think that sorbothane would "soften" the sound of a component...the complicated innards of components simply don't work that way.
Tube myths
Nandric...indeed I deed understand your statement, and I actually didn't comment on what you said, just the impossibly convoluted writing style. 5 languages and no spellcheck? Hmmm...."So where comebelieve from that we are dealing with ''objective...
Fuses and confusion
Replacing a perfectly good fuse with anything claiming to be better is an utter waste of time and money as they will not improve any aspect of a component's performance. "Directionality" in a fuse makes no difference as none of the wires or PC tra...
Inner tracks vs outer tracks
I don't worry about "inner groove distortion," as even with my simple old Linn table it's a "meh" issue...but if it is an issue the simple solution is to just listen to the first couple of tracks...problem solved.
How do I buy tubes?
Thetubestore.com, reputable online sellers, and Viva who are fairly priced and nearby.
Tube myths
Nandric...English your second language? Of course there's nothing wrong with that...and hey...great term Ralph, "zombie thread"...yeah man. I'm a big believer in Mutual Conductance.
Is a Linn Sondek LP12/Lingo/Ekos with a Cirkus update, the last turntable I’ll ever buy?

Phono Cartridge for $1,000.
I use an Ortofon Quintet Red and it's so good I might try a Black when it wears out...there's yer 1000 bucks right there...
Not sure of term but I notice some distortion/vibration coming out the speaker port?
It's the Port Noise complaint. (Is that a somewhat dated pun? I'm old...sorry)
Long Speaker Wires/Short Interconnects or Long Interconnects/Short Speaker Wires
Long single ended has always been a bad idea, and long speaker cables, if you get the right ones, work fine.
Audioquest Rocket series
I met Bill Low at a local shop and told him I was considering bi-wiring by reconfiguring single runs of AQ Type 8...he pulled a set of rocket 33s off the shelf and explained why they would likely sound better...so I bought a pair. They sounded ver...
Looking for new to me Jazz music
The Bill Charlap trio opened for Steely Dan once at the Beacon Theater.
wide baffles and baffle step
For the record, nearly 100% of interior designers prefer ceiling speakers. Sadly.
wide baffles and baffle step
For the record, around 100% of interior designers prefer ceiling speakers...sadly.
Why do some audiophiles beat up McIntosh?
Anything with large meters is OK by me.
