Which speakers did you find bright, fatiguing or just disappointing in some way?
I ASK AGAIN: PLEASE NO MORE ARGUING OVER A SPEAKER BRAND THAT DOESN’T EVEN EXIST ANYMORE! FFS!@greg7 With the exception of my very first post, I haven’t really been arguing over a speaker brand, but rather pointing out the bias and dishonesty disp...

There is no evidence that Johnsons account is actually true. Has that occurred to you? Do you realize how biased you are by simply taking his word for it while rejecting mine? I almost feel sorry for you, as you flail around desperately, attemptin...

@kenjit Setting aside your absurd claim that you are "reporting the truth", a claim that has been demolished by Johnson’s detailed recounting of your behavior, your responses on this thread have one, deeply ironic thing in common: dishonesty. The ...

Note, readers, that @kenjit did not deny the facts of Roy’s (above) claims on the original thread, nor on this one. That tells you all that you need to know about who is, and is not honest. As to his attempts at misdirection directly above, it furt...

I'm afraid it is you who is being dishonest. Just because he disagreed with my criticism of Green mountain audio, it doesnt mean I was dishonest.I'll simply let readers decide who the dishonest one is, by copying Roy Johnson's summary of your beha...

They had a very small following and the reason they existed for so long without ever growing as a company is because their speakers weren't good enough to compete on the same level as B&w, Magico, Revel, Kef and the like. That's false. There a...

kenjit –Your extreme bias against GMA and the late Roy Johnson, and ludicrous attacks against them, have been well-exposed on this forum. Any readers who think that I am being hyperbolic should refer to this thread, on which Johnson himself expose...

Green Mount Audio Europa. Bright and fatiguing describes the perfectly.@bdgregory I consider your claim to be dubious, and if accurate, almost certainly related to your associated equipment.I had the Europas, followed by the Callisto, and while th...
The anachronistic CD Transport? And do I really need one.
Congrats! They look very nice. One question that I can't get past, though, is why would they incorporate a complex slot-loading system? No matter what the build quality, surely such systems must be less durable than top-loaders.
Denafrips Aries II and Mac laptop issue
Strange. I'm using a MacMini with Mojave, and certainly haven't experienced any related issues.Have you tried emailing Alvin at Denafrips? He is typically very helpful, and may be able to further troubleshoot.
Which Component Has the Greatest Affect on Low-Level Listening
No matter what amplifier I was using my Harbeth SHL5's and 40's always sounded great at low levels. All the Harbeth's I have ever heard have played very well at low volumes.FWIW, I found the P3ESR to be superior to the M30.1 (which I currently own...
What is your favorite ''slow dance'' song of all time?

Adcom circa 1990 amp and preamp
I think that a part of your reaction relates to nostalgia.I also owned some nice, early Adcom gear, and certainly have fond memories of the systems that I developed back in the '80s and '90s. But at the same time, while vintage components can cert...
6000 dollars CD player
Electrocompaniet EMC 1 MKIV (I owned a predecessor for ~15 years); SimAudio Moon 260 (roughly half of your budget). Both are excellent.
Jazz for aficionados
