New to this. A question about B&W 804
I used a Conrad-Johnson MV52 with some B&W 804 matrix and at 45 watts per it did well but not nearly as well as when I upgraded to their Premier 11a at 70 watts per. If you can, bring your amp to where the speakers are and hear for yourself. A...
Suggestion for Liszt
Agree strongly with the Richter and Ciccolini suggestions would add Cziffra for the Hungarian Rhapsodies and a lot else. In this particular genre, Liszt, he was extraordinary. Though some may view him as over the top which with Liszt is hard to do.
Driving myself crazy with TT purchase...
I would say try the Rega P1 it is under $500 for turntable, tonearm and cartridge. It will tell you all you need to learn about how crazy you really want to get in analogue. My first turntable was a dual 1219 that got lost along the way many years...

Is analog supposed to be so noisy?
It is not normal. My first thought was that you had not grounded your turntable. That seems to have been corrected or at least not been the problem. Unless of course there was a problem with the Moscode Minuet and the results just sounded the same...

What's the best system in the world?
If only audio were as simple to define as cars or wine for high ratings.Unfortunately, audio is ever evolving, new people coming on the scene, old ones leaving. Science or technology progresses, understanding the basics of what sound/music is incr...
Best CD of Chopin's Concerto's
Martha Argerich gives a strong performance with Abbado, while most prefer her playing with Dutoit in this instance her passion makes up for what it might miss in other areas
Record Cleaning Fluids--Shelf life
Take one of your own to try or buy a record from a used record store, a $1 or $2 investment and try it. If the record treatment is a dud you'll know.It would probably help if you got one that you already had a copy of to compare to.Though this doe...

It is 5 AM, Do you Know where Mikey Fremer is?
Like Audioquest4life people donate albums to me, just last week another 200 or so albums including 20 by Joan Baez, came my way. A new acquaintance who wanted them to go to a good home and out of his garage. What more can one ask.
