Biggest Live Miss 23 years ago today............ P.S., not that I really like their music all that much, but I would have liked to have expereinced all the hoopla that surrounded the Greatfull Dead concerts, just once.
Biggest Live Miss 23 years ago today............ My biggest realistic regrets are missing (1) Rahsaan Roland Kirk and (2)Sun Ra and his Arkestra. I have no one to blame but myself, many a missed opportunity. Unrealistic regrets include the Beatles, Woodstock and The Concert For Bangladesh.
Tubes with Thiel CS-3.6's? has anyone had success? I happen to like Krell with Thiel quite a bit.
tubes with thiel, meadowlark or revel Marakanetz, et al are right on. I'd suggest the Meadowlarks.
Problem with preamp..need direction. David, its only a guess, but, I think Marakanetz is right on.
Ground Loop Humm/Buzz from Television Just a guess, but, maybe your properly grounded satellite is one ground too many. Forgive me if you already know this, but, you should have an odd number of ground connections. Perhaps a cheater plug on your satellite/cable box might be the trick....

SPeakers 90% of your sound Stehno, I don't know for sure, but I suspect you might be right when you say that amplifiers may be the most underrated componenet. It seems to me as though many beginners underestimate the importance of appropiate amplification. I still think spe...
SPeakers 90% of your sound Sogood51, we agree on some things, even without beer. With all due respect to those who say that components that follow a source can't add any thing to improve upon what is retrieved by the source, I agree (though the future of digital might chang...
Which amp to use? I believe Manley and/or VTL make some high powered triodes. For less money c-j might float your boat. Good luck.
Do You Remember Your First Music Purchase? My first music purchase was in 1967, needless to say my first purchase was a record, the Beatles "Magical Mystery Tour". No, I don't still have it. It was ruined during an unauthorized loan.
New Theil 2.4's any opinions I like the posts on the bottom. Safer with children and pets. |
