Amp for Wilson Watt Puppy 7
I don't own Wilson's, but, I have always enjoyed Krell with Watts/ Puppies. An amazingly real presence.
Calling Thiel owners please...
I'm sure Thiel would send you a replacement.
Best new/demo/used value for $7.5K range
May I suggest Dunlavy V's.
Spica TC-50 or Vandersteen 1b/1c or ?
I think the Vandersteen tweeters are probably more durable (and replaceable) than the Spicas. If your have a big enough room, I'd suggest going for a 2 series Vandersteen. I'd also suggest deciding on the speakers before the amp.
1s are 1s, 0s are 0s, right?
Eldatford, I didn't mean to suggest relative value and how you should spend your money.
Compare and Contrast
Marakanetz, c-j bought McCormack. McCormack is run independantly from c-j, though I believe McCormack stopped offering balanced connections shortly after being aquired by c-j (who never offered anything balanced).

Eldatford, yes, I was thinking about jitter. Yes, if everything works perfectly, but, even in a self diagnosing system things don't always work out perfectly.
Compare and Contrast
While they both offer a rather liquid sound for solid state, they are different. The c-j being rounder, more laid back and can be current limited (lower impedances can make the bass a bit loose),the McCormack can be crisper (yet liquid),much tight...

010101 may not sound like 0 1 0 1 0 1.
Who designs casework for audio components?
Gee, I thought Chrysler has designed some of the nicest looking vehicles on the road in the past decade or so.

Sean, I was led to believe that Walsh drivers bending motion was faster than the speed of sound. If that is true, would that still be too slow to mate with a plasma? With the advent of new digital mediums, that claim to go further up further in fr...

Sean, I really don't know, but, it seems as though the plasmas are better suited for medium to high frequencies and the Walsh drivers for medium to low frequencies. If that assumtion is true, it might allow for flexabilty in the crossover region. ...
Electrocompaniet owners
Sorry, I can't help you. Why do you find the need to take it apart (every time?)?
Besides Spectral, what else do I try........
Gee, my recollection of Spectral and Rowland gear is that they were quite different. Sonically I can imagine them being very compatible, but different never the less.
Another Time and Phase thread
Sean, 'ever consider of using the plasma drivers in conjunction with the Walsh drivers?
