Who else is using old cables/interconnects, and is happy?
My cables snd connects by and large are at least 40 years old. They are - now that I think of it - the oldest parts in my system.
Audio Lessons Learned - post your best advice for the newer members!
In the late 1960s, when I was 14, I built a Dyna70, a Dyna PAS and then added a pair of Lafayette speakers, a Garard table and a Stanton cartridge. My system evolved over the next 30 years, see theaudioatticvinylsundays.com while being committed t...
what are some of best tonearms you own or experience with.
I’ve been using the Sumiko MMT (very odd that NO ONE has mentioned this arm: it has a mythic reputation) for 35 years. Never felt the need to switch: still going strong. And the current Jelco model, at $550 or so, is a bargain. Sounds as good as a...

Article: "Spin Me Round: Why Vinyl is Better Than Digital"
I prefer analog vinyl. This article does a disservice to that preference, as the writer knows little about how the technologies of each format works, and therefore most if not all of his (redundant, I may add) assertions are not grounded in any re...
Does Anyone Think CD is Better Than Vinyl/Analog?
Postscript:I started listening to vinyl when I was 9 years old. That was 57 years ago. I started listening to CDs when I was 40, a mere 26 years ago. My ears are “tuned” for analog. Visit theaudioatticvinylsundays.com to see a description of my pl...
Does Anyone Think CD is Better Than Vinyl/Analog?
This question will not change anybody’s mind. For the record: - I have both CD and vinyl formats. - I have comparable quality playback hardware for each- while vinyl requires signal interventions that offend the kind of purists who rush to digital...
