the big one: how do you choose speakers? By what features, data?
1 - compatibility  2 - how it sounds, to my ears.
Storage boxes. Can I discard high end shipping boxes, and still sell in the future?
I acquired most of my equipment second hand.    I never gave thought to whether or not it came in it’s original box. Most of the time, it did not.
Modifying Crossovers
@carlsbad2    I took another look.  I do believe that I read it as written.
Modifying Crossovers
I have a pair of Altec Lansing 604Cs. Their stock crossovers are bright, cheaply made and have always been regarded as an afterthought. I replaced them with a pair of Doug Sax’s Mastering Lab https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7mW8BF-Bvw and https:...

Audiophiles on Audiogon.
@jackhifiguy pretty much calls everyone here stupid and then asks for feedback from the very same. I guess I must be stupid because I’m struggling to figure out how that works. As for the link to the DAC: A) I don’t use them and B) its just a bun...

Law Of Diminishing Returns?
The cost/value curve starts turning sharply upward at a point slightly greater than the amount that I’ve spent on my own audio system. 😏😆   theaudioatticvinylsundays.com
What should my heirs do to dispose of my vinyl and CDs?
@ross6860  Like thecarpathian, I’m also a bit skeptical of your exercise regimen: I’m thrilled that I keep up with 50 miles of bike riding per week, or 2,500 per year.    That said, I also don’t eat junk, I have a glass of red wine a day.    Ne...
Are audiophile products designed to initially impress then fatigue to make you upgrade?
My system has been more or less stable with these components for 25+ years, with the approach to configuration for 45+ years.  https://www.theaudioatticvinylsundays.com/about
Anything more resolving than 65 year-old speakers?
I have a pair of Altec Lansing 604Cs.  The serial number dates them at 1956, two years younger than me.  To paraphrase a famous Beatles song: 604Cs are good to me, you know They make me happy as can be, you know I say so I'm in love with them an...
