Classical Music for Aficionados Because really few systems + rooms can truly handle properly a full-scale symphony orchestra in flat-out hue and cry, listening to chamber music in the home is often an all-round more satisfying experience.
Classical Music for Aficionados Dohnanyi PC #1 #2. Hadn't listened in eons. Quite impressive.
Best Wireless Towers under 8K (US) I'd have thought that the obvious choice would be Dynaudio. They make quite a range of this style of speaker now, at various price points.

Classical Music for Aficionados My system is the most revealing it's ever been--and I'm not always liking it.I've been immersed in Rachmaninov the last few days. Listened to Daniil Trifonov for no. 2, and Argerich for no. 3. Then I put on Boris Janis, on Mercury (2 & 3), w...
Musicians in your living room vs. you in the recording hall? This is why I like speakers that tend to throw a distant soundstage, one which extends to the front wall and ideally beyond it. This helps to give the perspective of a concert hall. |
