Anyone having trouble with Tidal cutting out?
I unplugged my Bluenode 2 streamer  when I was moving some gear around and later when I went to stream Tidal, it kept cutting out.  I logged back into the network on the tablet I was using as a controller and the cutting out stopped.
PS Audio BHK 300 mono VS Modwright KWA 150SE mono VS D'agostino Classic stereo
Theiliste, I would read the Stereophile review of the Ypsilon and check out the measurements. I don’t know much about your Theils, but a demanding speaker does benefit from a doubling down of power down to 2 ohms. It can result in a more relaxed s...
What's the deal with coloring CD's and/or tray mechanism
No matter what the wavelength of the laser used in cd players, wouldn’t any scattered light picked up by the photodiodes be miniscule compared to the direct reflection that the photodiodes read and wouldn’t any halfway well designed cd player be a...
What's the deal with coloring CD's and/or tray mechanism
Don't bother with it.  It's an old tweak that died out years ago.  My apologies in advance to anyone still doing it.
PrimaLuna Prem Preamp. tubes on left channel running 20* hotter than right.
I don't own a PL, but that's not right.  Talk to your dealer about it.
Best value in pre-owned preamps right now?
There is an Aestheetix Calypso for sale for $2400.  A very nice preamp.
Tube integrateds and Electrostatic Speakers
Check out Robert Deutsch’s review of the Montis in Stereophile. He tried 3 different tube amps, including the PrimaLuna Prologue Premium integrated, and a Simaudio W-7 ss amp. He ended up liking the McIntosh Mc-275 the best.I own a pair of the Sum...
How good is Blue Sound Node 2 in WiFi vs Ethernet connection vs external CD player?
I have the Node 2 and play Tidal via WiFi.  I connect it to the DAC in my Esoteric K-05 SACD player and it sounds very good but not as good as a cd.  I haven't tried it with an ethernet cable.
Tubeyist sounding Pre-amp?
If you want a tubey sounding preamp, you probably don't want an ARC preamp.  The 6H30 tube that they use is definitely not classic tube or warm or euphonic sounding.  I know that someone could build a preamp using it that is those things, but ARC ...
Will audio streaming devices push out computer audio?
2psyop,  I think you need to talk to support at Bluesound.  If you can't find your answer on the forums send them an email and they will get back to you.   support@bluesound.com
Audio Research Ref 150se vs Ref75se on Martin Logan Renaissance 15a.
The MLs have an impedance of  .52 ohms at 20khz.  Technically they need a powerful solid state amp that doubles output at 4 ohms and again at 2 ohms to drive them properly, but many people find that a lower powered ss or tube amp works for them.  ...
Tidal streaming 192.0Khz/24it?
Tidal streams at 44.1/16 for $20 a month or mp3 for $10 a month. They have said that they were going to work with MQA to provide high-res (greater than 44.1/16) streaming, but last I heard that was on hold.Streaming services often call 44.1/16 res...
Will audio streaming devices push out computer audio?
I think that streaming will become what most people use. You will be able to buy downloads if you want, but why buy a download if you can always stream the same album with the same quality? Bandwidth for streaming and storage capacity keeps increa...
What is the current equivalent to the Logitech streamers?
Bluesound Node 2 would work.  Wifi works fine in my home.  It's Tidal and Spotify ready.  Has a pretty good app that works with both Apple and Android tablets. It has analog and digital outputs (it has a Dac built in but you can bypass it).  It co...
