Your Go to CD to Impress
If you want a sonic spectacular, try one of the last three of the Moody Blues’ core seven on SACD. Huge soundstages, a constantly changing soundscape with lots of effects, great guitar riffs, wide dynamic range. The 1997 remasters may be as good, ...
Controlling Bluesound Node 2 - problem using Samsung devices.
Hi willie,I have my Node 2, downloaded the app to my Samsung tablet and am listening to/navigating internet radio with no problem.  I don't have a NAS but I have a little music on my computer.  When I go into Settings and ask it to Find Network Sh...
Any News on MQA Lately?
Yeah Erik,  I think I misread the Stereophile measurements completely.  I now believe all three filters are without MQA so I deleted all my posts so that I don't spread misinformation.
Why pay so much for super high end?
What I don't understand is why people like the OP don't start a speaker company and make a fortune putting all the frauds out of business.
Controlling Bluesound Node 2 - problem using Samsung devices.
I've got a Bluesound coming and I've got a Samsung tablet.  If I can get it all working, or not, I'll get back to you with my experience.
Who has tried "TIDAL" vs other streaming applications?
...or the people who make the music.  If you enjoy rock especially, you really don't want to know what kind of people many of them are.
Sony Hapz1es or blue sound.......
Don't anyone get angry, I'm not sure about this, but here is a quote from a 2014 review:   "the HAP-Z1ES also has a built-in Internet radio tuner. Called the “V-Tuner,” this feature includes the ability to search for Internet radio stations by gen...
Mose Allison passes ...
Goodbye to Mose, a great artist.  If this keeps up, which it will, of course, we're going to need a separate Obituaries forum to keep up.
Sony Hapz1es or blue sound.......
Be aware that the Sony does not stream Tidal.  It is designed for people who want to purchase downloads or rip cds.

Getting a little cranky in your old age aren't you viridian?
Class "A" sound, as related to Stereophile.
viridian, I'd bet that you've listened to a whole lot of appliances in the last 40+ years and have arrived at your level of audio wisdom after many years of listening experience.  What if someone hasn't lived in NY and LA but in Montana or Mississ...

I agree with you Orpheus. A system must be composed of components of similar quality. One lower quality component can ruin a good system.I also agree with viridian that it’s much easier to assemble a good system with the help of a knowledgeable de...

Well, that’s fine that the Brits have their audio lore, that may be a good place to start your search, but I don’t think anyone can accurately determine for a person whether they would like Naim amplification to begin with let alone which speakers...

OK viridian, How do you build a synergistic system without listening to different boxes or different entire systems made by one manufacturer, preferably for extended periods of time in your own room?Do you just let someone else tell you what you s...

I agree with you, Orpheus.  In general, you have to pay more to get better sound.  If you have access to lots of gear that you can swap in and out of your system for free, you may be able to put together a "giant killer" system, but most of us hav...
