Please help! Tube amp issue
I bet @ramtubes could provide stellar advice here
Drink of choice for serious listening?
Left bank Bordeaux or any old world red - Gigondas is a nice go-to variety for me.For the occasional bourbon I'm a big Whistle Pig fan.
Any great artists whose first album didn't do much for you?
"Fresh Cream" never did much for me but "Disraeli Gears" was masterful and groundbreaking.
Discontinued equipment that you wish were still here. What do you miss or think will miss?
I'm embarrassed to admit that every once in a while I miss the old Loudness button when listening at low volume.  Does that make me a "bad" person? ;-)
... POORLY RECORDED SONGS THAT ...
I love all the Hendrix albums from a compositional and performance standpoint but I never understood why Mitch Mitchell's drums always seem so poorly recorded.
Cable info
@luvrockin The sound should be identical.  No change in the DAC, only more connectivity options.
Greatest debut album
As a 13 yr old I was blown away by the guitar sound on Van Halen’s 1st album. I had never heard anything like that before and for a decade after every rock guitarist tried to sound like Eddie, mistakenly thinking that a "gear upgrade" was all they...
My recent experience with 3 pre-amps - help me pinpoint the next upgrade.
Out of curiosity, have you tried other tubes in your Cary SLP-03?  A relatively inexpensive try at an "upgrade" with some NOS or Mullards. I've read that pre can benefit from tube rolling.

Your single favorite musician on any given instrument?
George Harrison on guitar...he never played an unnecessary note.
What is the most memorable concert that you had attended so far?
I think around 1990 Deep Purple decided to play a little unscheduled  warm up show at Hammerjacks in Baltimore, MD.  Pretty small venue and it was like being a fly on the wall in an intimate rehearsal with Ian Gillan sitting on a bar stool wearing...
Trumpeteer Roy Hargrove passes at 49.
Uggh...he was one of the few carrying the hard pop torch into the 21st century.  Loved his playing as well.  Much too young to go...….
Pro-Ject Carbon DC Mat? Platter? Stylus?
If you have $170 to spend I'm pretty certain you will get more noticeable sonic improvement upgrading to the Blue cart than any platter or mat change.
What albums, in your opinion, sound unquestionably better on Vinyl rather than Digital?
Either of the two LPs mastered for vinyl so far direct from the analog tapes by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings.  It's the whole reason they invested $100K in a lathe back in 2013 and dedicated themselves to the process of creating superior sound...
Personal vs. Market Values
Funny you should bring this up.  I often think about the concept of "Supertasters" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supertaster and apply it to the world of audiophiles.  I suspect there are also "superlisteners" who can discern sound at a much more ...
