Audio Desk ultrasonic vinyl cleaner machine
I have had mine for a couple years and am very happy with it. Although it isn’t a miracle worker, if the record has certain types of clicks or ticks, you  don’t erase them. Certain “ticks” etc are there and stay there. But it does a great job o...
AES/EBU vs SPDIF and AES/EBU to SPDIF adaptor
Jim, thank you for your response. I should have worded my question better  as I think my point wasn’t clear. Basically is there a difference in the digital domain, using an AES output on a source component via a AES to SPIDF adapter vs a AES to...
AVR in a HT Bypass setup
I traded an older Anthem D2V in on a Marantz AV8805 and have been very happy with the results. I find the Marantz much easier to understand and get along with. Also the Marantz is warmer and much less analytical.
Have you ever been turned off by an Arrogant Dealer? Thoughts
Arrogance is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of ignorance
Sonus faber center speaker as front?
Bargains are tough to turn away from, but sometimes you look back and realize you made the right decision.
Sonus faber center speaker as front?
I think the dealer has resolved your dilemma. Good hunting, it took me 2 years to decide.
Sonus faber center speaker as front?
In addition to the comments already made, my major concern would be bass delivery. Most center channel speakers don’t deliver lower than 45 HZ, where most floor standing speakers will drop into the low 30’s even the 20’s. Unless you plan to supple...
RIP Graeme Edge
Big Moodies fan, I have so many versions of their catalog, seen them many times including twice at Red Rocks with the Denver Symphony. I always found Graemes drumming very unique. He had some great songs that he wrote, but was a showman on stage. ...
One big reason why brick and mortar high end audio dealers struggle.
I have a few very good B&M dealers within 1 hour of my home and a couple that I don’t care for. I do find that the trend toward appointment only is becoming more commonplace. I guess the downside of that is, I can’t stop in on impulse but the ...
used mc452 or new mc312
I would say the 452 will be quieter than the 312. The 312 isn’t quad balanced like the 452 is. I own a 402 and would like to get into mono blocks as I am getting older and the 402 weighs 120 lbs plus. McIntosh Solid State monos that I can afford d...
Cartridges for Rega Tables
Danagood luck, it sounds like you may need to experiment a little, but I am sure you will be satisfied once you hone in on the right height.
Why are there no tube televisions anymore?
As mentioned the resolution ratings of today could not be met with CRT plus a 50” Tube would probably weigh 600 lbs or more and have to be 3-4 feet deep if not more for the guns to focus on the screen. Gone are the days.
Bluesound Node Does Not Stream Pandora...bummer!
I kept one Sonos Connect in my main system just because of pandora. I use the optical out into the Bluesound that I can benefit from the Chord Cutest. I had too many Sonos products around the house to make the full change over to Bluesound through...
