SURPRISE ! SURPRISE ! SURPRISE !
Well beyond the extra mile. I have spoken with Mr. Duddleston a few times at RMAF and as woodworker myself I found him to be as down to earth as they come. A true gentleman.
why do some cassette decks eat tape out of cassettes over 90 min?
Although it has been a while since I used my cassette deck, I do recall that if the capstan, pinch rollers and heads are not kept clean the tape can sometimes stick and cause mis feed.
What Does Ayre Sound Like?
And another vote for neutral. I just bought a KX-5 Twenty Pre-amp and it is breaking in nicely. I will add to the neutral that it does offer a warmth not usually associated with solid state. I have had a C5xe-mp CD player for years and I found it ...

Could The Music Room biz model be duplicated? A second TMR?
Maybe TMR should open a second site on the east coast. They could increase their used inventory by being in a couple locations and save on shipping costs for those buying and selling. By the way they no longer carry PS Audio since PS decided to mo...
Could The Music Room biz model be duplicated? A second TMR?
Of course someone could open a version of their own, but is it needed. TMR is doing a good job with model they have. So far they seem to be doing business in a positive light as I really don’t see many negative comments about them. They are expand...
Upgrade from Cardas Neutral Reference speaker cables
decooney, I am in a transitional period here before I will make a change. But it is good to hear others experience with different Cardas products. I really plan to stay with Cardas as the cables and company both have served me very well. I am swit...
Upgrade from Cardas Neutral Reference speaker cables
I have been using Golden Cross now for about 7-8 years and have actually been looking at switching to Golden Reference. I am holding off on buying as I am looking at the possibility of mono blocks and that would allow me to buy shorter cables. I s...
Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2021
Yes. I have attended every year since the first show. This will be the first year that I will not be attending due to health issues, but I am ok with it. I have spent enough so far that I don’t need the temptation! Two years ago they move down to t...
Focal Kanta 2 vs Revel 226be vs Monitor Audio Gold 300 5g
I have listened to each of these in various models. The Revel 228be and the Monitor 200, as well as the Kanta 2. I would recommend that you give the Sonus Faber Olympica Nova 2 a listen as well. They are about the same cost as the Kanta’s.i have b...
Putting in a dedicated power line. 2 receptacles ok?
Jea48, he did two separate runs of Romex. These are not directly across from each other as he did them about a year apart. Once I did the audio I decided later at a dealers advice to add the second circuit. And they end up on separate walls due to...
Putting in a dedicated power line. 2 receptacles ok?
Yes my terminology was incorrect. And I do have 2 circuits on different legs, sides , whatever it is called. And it has worked well for a number of years. After all these years I can’t quote my electrician verbatim. But as mentioned, maybe the sim...
Putting in a dedicated power line. 2 receptacles ok?
Sorry, in your breaker box you have two sides or rows of breakers. By having them on opposite sides the ground is then not interacting with each other which reduces noise. I had a master electrician do the install and it was his recommendation, it...
Putting in a dedicated power line. 2 receptacles ok?
I assume you mean a double duplex (2 port outlet)or two separate duplex outlets. I would stay with one outlet/duplex. What I did is 1 20 amp for audio and 1 20 amp for video with the grounds on opposite legs in the breaker box.
Running Springs Audio Harley
Calvin, sorry but I have never tried to pop the lid on one. Those look like some kind of hex/Torx screw. That said I would be careful opening the cover on something this as it could store a charge and "ZAP" you when you do get the cover off. Good ...
