Tenting home for termites I wouldn’t do anything like covering speakers, wrapped electronics, etc. you don’t want to take any chance one of those little critters is protected by precautionary measures. Kill ’em ! Kill 'em dead!
Anybody try this?? I have heard the Quattro Wood CT and they would be on my list if I do my. Option B. The Tekton's don't have any dealers in my area, I did listen to the Persona 3's but would want to hear the 5's or 7's.If I do go with my option B I have a lot of o...
Surround Equipment; McIntosh MC 207 VS MC8207 or Other Option The 207 and 8207 are the same basic amp with the only difference being the meters. I have a 205 and am very happy with it, but I use a MC402 for the fronts as I have a dual purpose system and wanted a dedicated 2 channel amp for music. You can't g...

Frozen McIntosh MX135 😰 I owned an MX135 and periodically it would lock up and I was always able to resolve the issue. I would unplug the unit and while unplugged I would toggle every switch on and off. The I would turn each dial to full extreme, doing this drains all ca...
Ground Hum with Rega RP6, Exact and TT PSU. Pivetta, I used the alligator clip clipped on the ground portion of the RCA jack. It was cumbersome and would work its way loose. But it did identify the problem. However if you have disconnected ed the Rt. Channel and the hum is there, this not t...
Ground Hum with Rega RP6, Exact and TT PSU. I had a similar issue years ago with a P25. Since Rega doesn't use a ground wire on the tonearm, I ended up getting the tonearm retired with the Incognito kit. That ended my issue, however I believe that Rega uses the right channel ground of the S...
Does anyone notice a reduction in sound quality when a tuner is part of ther audio chain? My first thought is grounding. What type of antenna are you using?Does the tuner have a 3 prong plug, if so try lifting the ground and also disconnect the antenna when you have it in the system and see if you can isolate the problem. Just a though.
Record Cleaning Machine At that price point the VPI 16.5 is the best, most durable, and US built with excellent parts and service from VPI. I had mine for a good many years. The guy that bought it from me was replacing a 1st generaton version, that he had for 25 or more ...

Do re -wired BI wired speaker cables need break in time ? I remember hearing or reading years ago, that George Cardas had stated that anytime you move or re-position a cable, it will need some time to "settle in". I took that to mean a break in period, I would guess it would not be as long as when new, b...
Aesthetix vs ARC I looked at Aesthetix years ago when I bought my LS26 and as much as I liked the sound, I decided on ARC and recently I bought an REF5se and all I can say (as I listen to Roxy Music) , I can't imagine you being disappointed.
