Linn Sondek question
This is one of the reasons I let mine go.  No offense to noromance but I was taught that you push down on the platter 1/2 way between the spindle and tonearm base to check alignment. But that only indicates the suspension and won’t reveal anywhere...
Why not batteries instead of power supplies?
A few years back a company was showing a strong presence at RMAF that had a few components that were 100% stored DC power. Although they didn’t sound extraordinarily good, the idea was launched. For some reason it never caught on, but doesn’t PS A...
Best wishes for Tom Petty
Most recent news is, Tom is alive. Say a prayer for his recovery
Best wishes for Tom Petty
Tragic news. One of the great Icons of my time, just saw the news when I got back to the office. Still trying to digest this un-expressible loss to the music industry and really much much more than a thread in the fabric on my appreciation for son...
Why we upgade
That is precisely why we upgrade. To obtain a better sounding system one change at a time. The evolution of our system drives us, the love of music navigates us.

I don’t drink, so it must be the electronics. But actually, I do think after about 20-30 minutes things do sound better, more focused. I know that the cartridge always sounds better after the first side, I usually play a side of a LP that I don’t ...
Greatest Rock Drummers
I agree the Neil Pert is probably at the top, but I want to add Nick Mason, the late Jeff Pocaro was awesome too. Carl Palmer is also at the top of this list as mentioned as is Ginger Baker, Stuart Copeland, Bill Bruford, Michael Shrieve...the lis...

A few versus that connect you........what song is it?
I have a few verses that have always stuck in my mind:Neil Young from Old Man- "it doesn't mean that much to me, to mean that much to you"Moody Blues from After You Came-" we all can see what we shall be but knowing is not controlling"
walter becker Rest in Peace
What a true loss to the music industry, any genre. I am sure Donald Fagan feels a severe loss in this news. My sympathies to him and Walters family.
unity gain active tube preamp?
Audio Research has been using it for years. I have had it an LS26 and now my REF5, and find theirs to be the easiest to switch to. I looked at other brands and they have it, but complicate the switching from 2 channel to unity gain. Audio Research...
