| Turntable problem I would say if you could replace the stylus it is a MM cartridge. The muffled on the MC setting confirms it.Try using a standard aux input. The phono stage in you unit sounds like it is not matching up with the cart output. | |

| Preamp For McIntosh MC352 I have the MC352 and use it with a MX134 as well as a MC7205. I just read the reveiw in Home Theater on the C42 and it sounds like a great piece. I recommend the C42 so that in the future you can add theater sound if you desire. | |

| McIntosh MX 130 as a 2 channe preamp tuner It is overkill but the MX130 has a pure staero pass thru thet also gives you bass/treble control. I would say that if can't find a cheaper and smaller unit the MX130 would be great. I have had lost of McIntosh thru the years and it never disappoints |
