System bottleneck?
Listen to more new(to you) music, learn to appreciate it and stay off audio forums.  You may be coming down with audio neurosis.
Best double studio vinyl?
All nominees are winners. Chicago Transit Authority is a bass demo  LP . The  percussion breaks in  "Beginnings" and "I'm a Man" will also show off a good system. D&D Layla wins for awful sound quality. Thankfully, the music makes up for it....
Why do I need power management if I have a great power cord?
raysmtb1- Having a nice setup and Tektons WITHOUT fancy cables, conditioner and fuses doesn’t sit well on an audio forum. The OP’S questions will never be answered from either side. T.A.S.-oookkaaay
The early years vinyl. Definitely not PC!
100% domestic  cotton!
Records Everywhere - Help!
it's only been 20 years the OP has been suffering  from LP overstock. Good thing the last 2 posters came to the rescue.
Martin Logan EDL
The OP meant ESL. "D" is right next the "S" on the keyboard. It's an entry level model. dbrw-try the Martin Logan owners forum. https://www.martinloganowners.com/
Tweaks, money pit or real value?
ghdprentice/steakster- If I count the Schwinn Sting Ray days+40 years of performance cycling/racing, I have over well over  half a century of saddle time. Audio as a hobby is like finding the perfect  saddle height/riding position- IMPOSSIBLE, b...
Why is most everything remastered?
voodolounge- My eyesight, along with coffee not kicking in made me realize it was Zeppelin 2! Here's what we all want https://www.discogs.com/release/1960140-Led-Zeppelin-Led-Zeppelin-II
Why is most everything remastered?
The "Big Fake" failed to convince me back in the 80's when it all started. For us original LP nut jobs, the only reason to buy a reissue is because a period press is unobtanium due of price. "the reason why my Zeppelin II Ludwig mastered vinyl s...
Is system synergy worth having matched components?
If you have a VAC Statement or ARC REF box  plugged into something other  than another one, maybe because you couldn't AFFORD it.
Will I benefit from a subwoofer with 20Hz speakers?
"I'm sorry but la Sphere looks too much like a next millennia Dalek." asvjerry- yes, I'm afraid la Sphere is a little much for my tastes. Tough to get it to fit with the decor, or get approval by the "boss." They look like something from Hef's ...
GOOD TUBES, BAD TUBES
"I re-tubed a McIntosh  MR-71 FM tuner with replacement tubes that were all NOS. It was expensive, but worth it. I used Telefunken tubes from the 1950's and 1960's, all bought from reputable online tube dealers." Scorpio1951- I use a 65 MR 71. 1...
Will I benefit from a subwoofer with 20Hz speakers?
"The speaker's published frequency response is 41-20,000Hz. I presume this is achieved in an anechoic chamber. In my room however, it goes down to 20Hz, at least according to the Dirac measurements. In fact, I needed to flatten the curve and  redu...
Electric cars will ruin late night listening?
Don’t worry, some audipreneur will develop a box that will quell perceived ill effects of the "new power grid" Their will be footer, fuses, cables and optional cryo treatment to go with it. Gloss black finish $1000 upcharge.
Speaker positioning: why do audiophiles neglect this so much?
"The problem with being a true audiophile is that you are always thinking something could sound better. Some people throw money at the problems others throw luck and money. I prefer to throw thought and as little money as I can get away with. One ...
