| after TT upgrade, digital sounds like crap- help Radambe...No, you just have to upgrade your digital gear. I have both a CD player and vinyl, and find pleasure in them both. The real bottom line is how the performance was recorded....playback will only give you what was recorded..good, or bad. | |
| VPI Classic 4, any one have it? I understand the ceramic platter was developed for the upcoming direct drive table. So far I hear more clarity with less "tizzies" on the high frequencies...but I still have to listen further....just got it a few hours ago. | |

| A New Use for VPI Flattening Ring I believe that Elizabeth got it right. I tried rocks, sand, can of tomatoes, a metal tray, etc.....they all changed the sound somewhat, however, the ring sounds the best. | |

| TW Raven AC or SME 20.12 Unless SME fixed the problem on their V, when I had mine, the only way to adjust azimuth is to shim one side or the other of the cartridge. I think this adjustment is an absolute necessity for proper playback. | |
