Saves ink,,,,
spring loaded platform non-suspended turntable
In MY experience, non suspended turntables need a solid foundation to the center of the earth... Spring aids, ruin the sound.

Atlas,Anna, Universe, LPS, etc....the best you can afford. Black is good, but there is better.
Hum from SAMA
also...if the feet are rubber and old, they should be replaced with new ones easily procured from VPI...aged rubber feet turn hard and transmit what sounds like hum through the cartridge.
Best tonearm for London Reference Cartridge
evidently, Vlad and I have the same suggestion
Best tonearm for London Reference Cartridge
The Decca is a great cartridge, but sends a LOT if energy back into the arm which ruins the sound. If it were I, I would use the new Dynavektor arm...this arm will tame those resonances and bring out the best that cartridge can deliver.
Why does the VPI motor thump
...just thinking....maybe because my system is totally balanced may have something to do with the silence of switching off my VPI
Why does the VPI motor thump
..then why does my VPI turn off silently??
Upgrade Tonearm for VPI Aries 3
In MY system, the Nordost wire sounds too hifi....the Discovery sounds organic and true.
Help with a VPI 3D Tonearm Exchange
Yes...the 3D arms have a different base....I got the arms with base, so just screwed it into the top of my Superscout...works perfectly. By the way...I prefer the Discovery to the Nordost...

Abil...the secret word is Fozgometer...get one, use it and you'll never have to worry about azimuth again.
Snap, crackle, pop
The better the cartridge and arm, the fewer snaps, crackles, etc.
B&K and Vandersteen Good match??
I agree with Rrog
The best speaker you ever heard?
When you listen to speakers, you are really listening to the whole system, the setup, and the room. I have Vanderseen 5A's set up by Richard himself...and yet, it took 5 years or so, to get them to sound as good as they do. It is sooooo difficult ...
