Inexpensive, neutral-to-warm sounding SS headphone amp?
Gustard H16 is worth a look if you can stretch a bit, or even better a used Singxer SA-1 will give you that warm Class A amp goodness.  Best of luck.
DAC better than Denafrips Pontus II
The Pontus ll was high on my list too, but just read a review of the Musician Aquarius on Soundnews.net that has me rethinking things as he’s also familiar with Denafrips DACs.
Sound variation from good to incredible?
I’d definitely try a power conditioner.  Core Power, Audience, Synergistic among others are all good.
LSA 20 Statement Speakers
What sound characteristics are most important to you, and what improvements would you like to achieve over your RS6es?
Question for those of you laptop users...
If you’re really looking for better sound, switch to a Qobuz subscription (you can try for free) and get an iFi iPurifier 3 to clean up the signal coming out of your computer — it’s still noisy despite only being used for music.  Best of luck.
I need help with an amp decision
I think First Watt is a great choice but don’t think they have balanced inputs.  There’s a McCormack DNA-125 on US AudioMart for $929 that’d also be great and can be sent to SMcAudio for further upgrades if desired, but that too has only single-en...
Conrad Johnson GAT - What else is there?
How did the Sachs compare with the GAT?  Others I’d look at — CAT, Atmasphere, VAC, Allnic, Raven, LTA.
US Speaker Manufacturer MOST in need of a Great Designer??
Why limit it to US-based companies?  I’ve always found the Dynaudio Confidence line to be absolutely heinous, and Ref 3A’s Nextel finish is no prize either but still not even in the same league as the Dyne’s travesty.
Subwoofer Footing - Connect or Isolate?
SVS sells their SoundPath sub isolation footers for only $50 and offers a generous risk-free trial so you can try’em at home. They are said to both improve bass and reduce transmission and get excellent reviews from customers who bought them. No b...
Subs And The Downstairs Neighbors
The new SVS 3000 Micro is $800 and will get you down to 23Hz (-3dB), and at only about 11” square I don’t care how small your NYC apartment is (I used to live on the upper East side) — it’ll fit.  For $50 they also sell their SoundPath subwoofer i...
Looking for a New Amp to Try, Integrated? Power?
What amp are you using now and what kind of improvements are you looking for?
Thoughts?
I just have their SB2000 sub, but if you read reviews of the speakers they — like the subs — get consistently glowing reviews, and as they sell direct they offer a lot of performance per $.  They also have excellent customer service and offer legi...
Thoughts?
Using the 906es as rear speakers seems a bit overkill and a little wasteful to me.  I think you were smart to consider just going with SVS.  You could get the Tower Surround package with their PB1000 Pro sub for about $2100 less whatever you could...

CD player as a transport
If you could choose a CD player to use as a transport, which would you choose, and why would you choose it.None. There’s a Bluesound Vault available here for $450 you can just load all your CDs into and get off the dying single-disc transport merr...
