Apogee Duetta Signature or Mini Grand?
The Mini Grand is the Apogee Stage on stands...of course in this case the stands are subs. I have listened to the Stages before but not with their subs or any sub for that matter. The Stage is a fantastic speaker with one of the best midrange repro...
Wadia direct into amp, Sound a bit too lean??
.5v output won't cut it...try a much higher setting. The voltage can be adjusted via internal switches from 0.3V to 4.25V to match system sensitivity.Hold off on spending money untill you try the higher voltage settings.Dave
Wadia direct into amp, Sound a bit too lean??
What is the output voltage of the Wadia set at?...you may need to pop the cover and kick it up a notch. Are you using balanced outs? Also, I suspect the Rowland may not be the best mate for a passive.Dave

Do people find the rating system useful?
Well, I just had a look at the grade scale...function is not mentioned.Dave
NeoNewbie---Using unused speaker channels?
If it has pre-out and amp-in for all channels (I had an Onkyo like this) it may work as you could pull the rear channel jumpers...a Y-cable from the fronts would then feed the rear amps along with the front channel amps.Agree with the above also.Dave

Interesting points made from both sides of the isle. The two channel is as good or better opinions voiced would seem valid in my experience but very quickly begins to leak water. At this ($5,000) price point I can understand the point of view that ...
