Justin_timeWell shure, and my Onkyo has over 300 watts a side for my 90-91db VMPS's. As I mentioned, the subs design along with the size of the room they will be used in play an important factor in the amount of power that will be required. Also, ...

Is Odyssey Power amp Stratos better than Krell?
I would think that the Odyssey amps could hang with the Krell Kav line of amps...depending on taste of course. The big Krells, no way...no how. They don't have the power supply or the build quality of the Krells.Dave
Redirecting bass frequencies
A lot of people at the Audiocircle forum think highly of Eighth Nerve products and there are threads there regarding these...try a search at that site. The traps I have been playing around with for the last few days are the John Risch DIY jobs that...
Stereo amplifier for a pair of passive subwoofers.
A lot depends on the subs used as far as how much power your going to need. My power meters on the front of my Onkyo M-504 very rarly hit peaks of over 100 watts driving two vmps subs. Most of the time the Onkyo is coasting along at well under 100 ...

Stereo amplifier for a pair of passive subwoofers.
I use an Onkyo M-504 (around $400 used) along with a Paradigm X-30 crossover (around $100 used) with my passive subs. Depending on your setup and needs you may not need or want the Paradigm x-over.Dave
Amplifier Decision - Audio Research vs Krell
The Krell is overkill as far as those speakers go (don't they measure around 91db. or so?)... so unless you are going to another set of speakers that need that kind of power...I would scratch the Krell.BTW...I own a Ksa-250 and do like it.Dave
