Technics A10 DVD digital output options
Viggen, I've not used my A-10 much for redbook at all. I had a redbook player at the time I bought the A-10..I did however play around with it enough to form an opinion as to which settings do bring out it's best in my system as a two channel redb...
Krell questions and comments
Well, I get out and about for a good listen every now and then. I never hear anything that makes my jaw drop and want to sell off my old Ksa-250. Would I trade it in on a new Krell/Pass amp, not the models in it's power range..the price difference...

Sjh32, My only use for my Technics is as a Dvd-audio player so I only use it's 5.1 channel analog outputs. You can not use an outboard dac for dvd-audio with this player. My understanding from your post was that you were all set in the redbook and...
Differences in CD players? Am I crazy?
I would take the two players to some of the better audio stores in your area and have a listen with some gear that you think might be next on your list...Cd players are easy to transport and any good shop worth it's salt will be more than happy to...

newbie seeking stereo system advice
Get an active sub, this will give you the volume you desire. You can keep the integrated and you will be bi-amped, you should be able to find a good sub in your price range here on audiogon. This is dependent on your integrated pre outs to feed th...
TV ignorance
I'll agree with Lej1447, the Panasonic stuff is always ahead of the curve when it comes to video reproduction. Even their cheap Dvd players offer stunning progressive scan picture quality IMO.Dave
Speaker setup for HT in $2000 range
A little more info would help people help you. How big is your room? What type of speakers are you looking for? What are you goals for this system?, stuff like that.Dave
VGA Help
Why not just a component to Vga cable? This is a cable with RGB component connections on one end and VGA connection on the other end. Is your source player Dvd player with progressive outputs? My cable runs from source to projector for video, I do...
New preamp or other suggestions?
Well I'm not an expert but I do have an opinion, get rid of the audiophile speakers..sounds like they are poor match for your room. There are plenty of other speakers that may integrate more to your taste with this problem room.Dave
Do cd's store a more exact copy of sound than LP's
Great care must be taken with each to get anything thats even close to the real thing. I have listened to great recordings on tape, vinyl and cd and doubt I could ever pick a clear winner in my mind. If you like vinyl..go for vinyl and don't even ...

Best midranges...
Ribbons tend to have the most REAL..she is in my room singing to me sound IMO. I have a pair of small speakers that use 26 inch ribbon midrange, I've yet to hear a cone that can compete, I think ribbons have a added depth that gives notes a more r...
Single input Line-Stage Pre-amp
I have the Bent Tvc passive, mine is two input model and would work well with your Naim at 2.1v output..the Bent does not like cdp's with high output. It should also be a great match with your speakers. Talk to John at Bent Audio about a match wit...
