Klipsch Lascala II bin separation
One possible issue with this is speaker manufacturers voice their speakers in stock configuration, and that may be superior to diy mods some of us undertake. I've tried a multitude of footers over the years, they all have unique sound qualities. I...
Klipsch Lascala II bin separation
Makes sense,I'd expect isolating mids and highs from bass bin cabinet resonances would result in greater clarity. I modified my Klipschorns years ago, getting rid of top bin altogether, mid driver mounted to Volti tractrix horn,  tweeter mounted t...
Audio Research SP9 family
Generally, I don't like to criticize components, but the MkIII I purchased many years ago was without a doubt the most disappointing audio component I've experienced in over more than thirty years as audiophile. Low resolution, transparency, just ...
Allnic Audio A-6000 vs Pass XA 30.8
I had similar experience recently with Pass XP22 pre I had purchased as possible replacement or backup for Coincident Statement MkII (Psvane WE101D) with a few other non-factory mods. Noise floors/resolving very similar, Pass the slightest more ex...
Do people tire of audio forums?
Many great comments here. I agree this forum is a reflection of the larger community or world we live in, forums by their nature a more impersonal community. I don't know how many others feel this way, but whenever I get nostalgic about the good ...
Do people tire of audio forums?
@ticat In many cases this may be best route, why add pithy post, may help to decrease the fatigue.   For popcorn and hot dog lovers, I used to enjoy the show, even engaged a few times. If its a new topic this can still provide entertainment, but...
Why don't we tire of music?
Beach Boys song, "Add Some Music To Your Day" says it all.

@knotscott Spot on! Between individual preference and plethora of available equipment, topologies, rooms, etc. every situation unique, makes it more difficult to find commonaliity. I recently decided against selling my 1970 MGBGT when out of this ...

@charles1dad Charles, you are one of the most positive voices I've encountered in any forum. Go Blue! @hilde45 I've been gleaning info from your Rel sub posts, very helpful for setting up the pair of Rel subs I purchased, must be selling big time...
Do people tire of audio forums?
WBF, snooty or well informed with plenty of money to blow?   As for diy or custom build like me, diy forums are the worst as  objectivists predominate, all about measurements. Audiophilestyle forum an exception, built my streaming setup based on...
Shane MacGowan has passed on.
Pogues created some extremely meaningful music for me, knowing of Shane's issues with substance abuse made it even more meaningful. Shane grew up in a substance abuse culture, the fact he made something of himself is a thing to respect.
Do people tire of audio forums?
I agree this forum and others have been instrumental in helping me assemble my dream system. So, as one accumulates knowledge and experience forums less valuable for that, left to passing on that knowledge and experience. At some point one begins ...

Thanks @grannyring If sound signature of phono similar my chosen parts substitutions should provide exactly what I'm looking for.
Network optimization for serious streamers
Some have positive experience with audiophile switches, likely poorest performing 'upgrade' ever experienced for me. So, was it particular switch chosen, switches in general, switch in my particular network to blame? I could jump to some overarchi...
