Allnic Verito Z:Owners and those familiar
The Verito Z seems to work best with higher mass tonearms. The cart weighs 9 grams, has a fairly high compliance and tracks at 2g. The metal mounting plate does help with the light weight issue.Disclaimer: Allnic dealer
Used MMG's
If they are pre-owned at 400 - 450, they are way over priced, relative to 550.00 brand new from Magepan, in your choice of grill covers. Save up the extra 100 and buy new. I have a pair I bought new and set them up every so often and listen to the...

Just for the record, Lloyd Walker experimented with steam for all of about 15 minutes. His 4 step product functions just fine, thank you very much, without steam. He tried steam - it was not the answer.

I second Audiofeil's suggestion on the Quicksilver V4, and will add the suggestion of the Wolcott P220 monos. Both well within your budget expectations if you go with pre-owned.
Anyone tried pro-audio XLR mike cable in system ?
No - but I used to use 25 ft audio system XLR cable as mic cables (Audio Magic Presto II), on expensive mics, for exactly the reasons you stated.

Whats on your turntable tonight?
Emorrisiv-The "Savitri" with Janet Baker. One of my favorites! Not only is it a wonderful performance, it is one of my go to recordings for testing a systems ability to image properly. I love the Argo "Coronation Anthems" too. Outstanding choices!!
