Best interconnect burn-in method
Fortunately, there is no logical reason for burn-in with cables. So your approach will be equally effective as any other. If you experience audible differences over time (drift in performance) then it would be best to have your active gear (amp, p...
Most Important, Unloved Cable...
@almarg Quote As an electrical engineer having extensive experience designing high speed digital, analog, A/D converter, and D/A converter circuits (not for audio), I don’t find the reported differences to be either surprising or mysterious. And I...
How often do you clean cables? And which types do you clean most often?
I have never cleaned cables. Brush my teeth twice a day though. And dust my broom as often as I can.

Synergistic Red Fuse ...
Homage to Duke by Dave Grusin is a fantastic recording. BTW - since when did this thread become about Jazz recordings? Did I miss something in the way fuser’s logic is fused? Like the way fuser's think that extreme sensitivity to fuses and possibl...

Is remastered mainly just less jitter?
No. A remaster from analog tapes may have less jitter with a more modern A to D. However the main thing with a remaster is some adjustment of the sound of the original master by a mastering engineer. Modern technology can also work a bit of magic ...

Best furniture to act as bass trap
Toilets make a great bass trap. They are customizable too - depending where you sit and/or the fluid/solid levels you can tune them for the best sound. The only drawback is fitting the rest of your gear in the toilet - usually the door won’t close...
Turntable?
I like vintage sound. Pioneer or Denon or Technics from the late 70’s for TT. For cartridge I like the FM radio broadcast sound of the Denon 110. For vinyl I would only by Japanese unless you are willing to risk quality
Very Bad purchase from upscale audio Acoustic Zen Adagio
Sorry to see you were swindled. At least it was still a fairly low price you paid.I find it amazing AZ can make speakers so cheaply. The finish looks great but maybe one of them sat in the sun. That is a huge amount of wood working and finishing.

ATC ACTIVE VS PASSIVE
ATC active is most important for their three ways. In a two way you could go either way (passive or active) with great results provided the passive amp is beefy (at least 150 watts on the SCM 20).
