VPI periphery record ring for VPI Scoutmaster the celebration is probably a couple steps up from the blackbird, which is a very good cart. here's a review from a couple of years ago:http://www.enjoythemusic.com/magazine/equipment/0402/sumikocelebration.htm
VPI periphery record ring for VPI Scoutmaster sumiko celebration. i have the same analog rig, 'cept a dynavector p75 phono. and i have the sds. celebration is a terrific cart that for some reason many don't use/know about. really great for the type of music you listed.
How to correctly use the SDS with the Scoutmaster im not sure i understand mike's response. the sds is always on while listening. the instructions that came with it says "both the sds and the turntable plugged into it may be turned and off with the sds's power switch", which is how i've used it. ...

P75 seems more sophisticated than Black Cube the musical surroundings is a decent unit that's very flexible. having said that, with a low output mc there is simply no comparison to the p-75. i've owned them both and i can't fathom how anyone with a lo mc that has done significant listening w...
VPI table, cart and phonostage? - Novice. i had a scout for about a year, and then moved to a scoumaster, with the periphery ring and center weight. very huge difference in every way possible. the scout is very good. the scoutmaster with the extras is entirely in another league. i also ha...
P75 seems more sophisticated than Black Cube you are way to hung up on the build of the p75, matrix. don't know what cart you're using, but if it's not a low output mc, then you're missing the full power of it. cause with a low power mc, it's as good as anything under $2k. many others have s...
Good cartridge for unipivot arm? sumiko celebration has been on my jmw9 for the last 6-7 months and only keeps getting better. also very easy to set up.
VPI Ring Clamp Same thing happened to me a week ago. Went to play a record and found the band on the plinth. I contacted VPI and they're sending me a new band. Never even thought about the possibility of it damaging a cantilever, but I guess anything is possible...
VPI Record Clamps has anybody replaced a vpi one piece center weight with the bdr? i presume when people refer to the stainless, they're referring to the 2 piece clamp? i have the one piece clamp that goes with the outer ring on my scoutmaster, and would be interes...
Newbie needs some cart advice for a SME V/Dyn P75 fwiw, i am currently using a sumiko celebration with the p-75, on my vpi scoutmaster and the match has been terrific. beyond the beautiful music this combo produces, i find the celebration to be the least fussy/sensitive cartridge i have ever used...
Can almost anyone learn to set up a Cartridge? do yourself a favor and invest $20 here. makes alignment and azimuth setting about as simple as it gets. good luck!
Heresy's with SE? thanks for your replies. the heresy's were actually bought on a whim as a temporary replacement for a pair of totem model 1 signatures that are being repaired. the klipsch's were so cool looking and i'd heard such good things about them that for t...
Cart for VPI Scout? Blackbird, Ruby2H, Shelter 901 i used a celebration with my scout, and do now with my scoutmaster. what can i say that already hasn't been said (do a search) here and other places? just a terrific cartridge and a perfect match for the jmw9. and with .5mv output, pretty easy to ...
