New Dynaudio Heritage Special..?..! Congratulations Toddycat. The Heritage Special does look good. Good to know they have lived up to the expectations.
Best Power cable around/prefer under $300.... I have Wireworld Elektra 7. It's decent for source and DAC, not so good for the amp. Not exactly responding to the OP's needs but just sharing my experience since somebody above me mentioned about the WW Elektra 7. I currently do not have any powe...
Best bookshelf speaker? Marten Oscar Duo, Duke 2 or Parker Duo
question for Luxman L-590AX owners Yes, plenty of space around the amp. It only happened twice for the past 6 months of use.
question for Luxman L-590AX owners So the OP has the mk1 version of the L-509X. Just to clarify that my L-590AXII does not show any hum. Very silent and no issues whatsoever except that it automatically shuts down by itself, occasionally, after prolonged listening sessions at moder...
question for Luxman L-590AX owners No hum but I’ve trigerred the protection circuit several times now as the amp automatically shut down by itself. The system was played continuously for several hours, sometimes above 10 hours in a day when it happened. At least I am aware the prot...
Integrated amp -- Pass Labs vs Luxman vs McIntosh Just disregard the not so helpful comments. The Luxman L-590AXII does respond very well to quality power cords. Not only that, if you are able to use the balanced connections, by all means use it to connect to your DAC or source. It sounds better ...
Looking to buy a quality integrated $10,000 budget. Looks like the OP has deviated from considering some of the planned options. The Luxman L-590AXII is one of the best in its price range. It has replaced the Naim 282/HCDR/250DR in my system. Top notch sound quality but you need to use quality p...
Does Power Cord Require Burn-In To Sound Good? 12-08-2020 6:33pmryderThank You for the update. The Acrolink will become better with more hours. I am familiar with the WW Silver Electra 7. A very fine Power Cord indeed. I would think that the Acrolink is better than a standard WW Electra7 ?Happ...
Does Power Cord Require Burn-In To Sound Good? Jafant, it's an Acrolink Mexcel 8N-PC8100 Performante. Thanks for all responses though I didn't expect the animosity displayed on this thread. Anyway for closure just to update that I'll be keeping the cord after all as the sound has improved appr...
Does Power Cord Require Burn-In To Sound Good? Currently there’s a minor difference in sound quality between the new and old cord but I cannot say which sound I actually prefer at this point of time. Doesn’t seem to be a very positive outcome at the moment..
Does Power Cord Require Burn-In To Sound Good? Thanks for the responses. I'm seriously hoping for good things to come from this new cord as it's a pretty heavy investment for me. I hope this burn-in thing with cables is something that works ie. noticeably if not drastically improved sound afte...
sharp and piercing high pitch /frequency coming out from Harbeth C7 What's the recording and music? In my experience all Harbeth don't show a sharp piecing treble, even if you use the brightest amp, electronics or cables. Hence I am suspecting the music or recording to be the culprit to the bright sound you are ge...
are 4000$ /pr speakers today better than $4000/pr speakers from mid to late 1990's? Old speakers would have gone through some extent of deterioration such as foam surrounds or internal, capacitors in the crossover etc. Personally I wouldn't consider speakers that are more than 20 years old.
Dedicated Harbeth P3 Thread Nice. I am a long time Harbeth user too for 12 years starting from the SHL5 to now SHL5+. I once lusted for the P3ESR although I already own the larger Harbeth as it looks so classy in its rosewood form, and it sounds very good too. I listened to ... |
