Integrated Amp Pairing for Harbeth 30.2
Donjr, I think he went about telling everyone he met the same thing about his speakers sounding just as good on a stack of books or telephone directories. At first I thought it was a joke but apparently he was serious about it. It was when I disco...
Integrated Amp Pairing for Harbeth 30.2
I have Harbeth Super HL 5 Plus and used to power it with the top of the line Hegel integrated and I didn’t like the match. My local shop got me a deal on a lightly used Accuphase E-600 and it suits my needs perfectly. If I was younger it wouldn’t...
Cardas Clear vs Nordost Frey 2 vs Chord Sarum T Speaker Cables
Thanks to all. @jc4659 i appreciate your response. The Tyr2 is above my budget even though it's used. I will keep this in the shortlist.
Cardas Clear vs Nordost Frey 2 vs Chord Sarum T Speaker Cables
FWIW I'm leaning to the Chord Sarum T but would like to hear from other people who have made the comparisons before I pull the trigger.
Buchardt e50 reviews
There are few reviews on Youtube and this reviewer is pretty good. He finds the E50 to be great but is not for everyone. https://youtu.be/c9ZKXQSt1J0?si=qObBKSKr5_KRo7Dx Steve Huff also just added his own review of the E50.  Edit : does anyone ...
Acrolink 7N-DA6300IV Mexcel Interconnects
@stereo5 I received another reassurance that the issue is only with the DA6300IV. Looks like I have to handle the cable with tender loving care, only at the female XLR connectors.
Acrolink 7N-DA6300IV Mexcel Interconnects
Thanks for the response. I agree that Acrolink cables are well-built and robust. Nevertheless, the DA6300IV is different as it’s the only Acrolink cable that has a solid core construction while the rest are stranded. The cable manufacturer sent an...
Experiences With Costly Balanced XLR Interconnects Above $3,000
@presmara I need to ask you on your experience with the Acrolink 7N-DA6300II Mexcel as I was made to understand that it’s a very stiff and fragile cable which can break easily at the plugs when twisted with force. This was made known to me when m...
Have you been enjoying your Gryphon Diablo 120 integrated ?
@bluethinker I usually only have time to listen during the weekends so have not spent much time with the system. I also have not fully explored the potential of the amp as there are other configurations where I could connect the amp which I have n...
Finite Elemente Pagode Master Reference HD09 Amp Platform
Appreciate the post but I've decided to go for something else instead of an amp stand.
Have you been enjoying your Gryphon Diablo 120 integrated ?
Words can't describe how happy I am with the Gryphon Diablo 300. It sounds massively different from the Luxman 590AXII. It's very good, a complete amp even though there's better (333 and Essence).
Upgrade to sound quality of Dynaudio Heritage speakers
I would echo @bluethinker ’s thoughts particularly with the Gryphon Diablo. I don’t have experience with the Pass Labs INT25 but suspect it’s around the Luxman’s capabilities in driving power. I recently upgraded from the Luxman L-590AXII to the G...
Have you been enjoying your Gryphon Diablo 120 integrated ?
Thanks all. I’m delighted to have gone with the Gryphon. @bluethinker I’m not decided yet on the Luxman. Apart from the 590AXII, I have another pre/power and an integrated which are unused. I don’t have the space to set up another system so I hav...
Have you been enjoying your Gryphon Diablo 120 integrated ?
@inna @bluethinker update. I received the Gyphon Diablo 300 with the internal DAC module. Although the Luxman 590AXII is good, you guys are right. This beast now sounds better than the Luxman although I’m just running it in its basic configurati...
Moving to separates
Generally it’s all about cost. A $10k integrated is going to beat a $3k separates. If you are going from a cheap integrated to a mid level separates then you’re on the right track. However, you could also consider a mid or high level integrated as...
