Which Harbeths?
All great responses. I’m with Arafiq on this one. I’ll make this short. Obviously the choice will be dependent on listening taste and preferences. In my view and experience (which may not apply to everyone). M40.1/2 and P3ESR excluded. SHL5+ Most ...
Isoacoustics Gaia Speaker Footers
Thanks for the response Milpai. I heard an improvement but read on another forum that the Gaias need few days to sound their best. I’m not sure if they need some time to "settle" as some isolation products usually require few days to settle down a...
IsoAcoustics - A Class Act
Does anyone know if the Isoacoustics Gaia require break in after installation to sound good? If yes, approximately how many days? Or they will sound great right off the bat after installation? Installed on speakers.I find the setting up to be rath...

Luxman 590axii ventilation
I can tell you 1" is asking for trouble as I own one. My rack is open on all sides and I used to have about 2 to 3 inches clearance above the amp and it still occasionally went into shut down mode about 3 times in a year. I have now removed the co...
Luxman 590axii ventilation
Have a look at the placement of my L-590AXII.  Previously there was a component sitting on top of the Luxman. It was removed from the rack several months ago. https://i.postimg.cc/j2Xm0v0N/IMG-20210920-101955.jpg
Fun With Cable Risers
I can’t install cable risers as a portion of the speaker cables are crossing the pathway where people will walk across it. The cables need to touch the ground, flat on the ground to prevent people from tripping over them.

riaa_award_collectors_on_facebook829 posts06-20-2021 5:04amNewsflash.....Mr Huff has listed his Dyn Heritage and is going back to Klipsch. You read it hereMissed this earlier. Really? I used to read about his enthusiasm with the Dynaudios, Pass La...
Amp recommendation -- McIntosh, Luxman, Yamaha
Great news. I hope the L-507UXII will live up to your expectation if not exceed it. I currently own the L-590AXII and have to say it’s the best integrated amp I have experienced in my system after 30 years in this hobby. The Luxman is truly qualit...
Nordost ECO 3 Static Inhibitor anyone?
Does this anti static spray work on speaker cables and interconnects? I don't listen to CDs so there's no use of this product even though it is claimed to work best on CD.
Amp recommendation -- McIntosh, Luxman, Yamaha
Apart from sound quality where the Yamaha is generally considered to be inferior to the Luxman, all Yamaha gear which include the AS-2200 are made in Malaysia. The Luxman is made in Japan and has higher build quality and fit and finish. Mcintosh u...
Power cord supplied with Luxman L-509X Integrated Amp
It is unfortunate that the forum does not provide the facility or feature to post pictures or links to videos. Otherwise it will be useful and a whole lot of fun.
Power cord supplied with Luxman L-509X Integrated Amp
The Luxman will benefit from a high quality power cord. However, my experience is with power cords which are terminated in US plugs. I guess you are not in the US since the power cord as shown in the photo of your System page is a 2 prong instead ...
Naim Supernait 2 vs Supernait 3
Based on folks on the Naim forum who have compared both, more people prefer the Supernait 3 over 2 while a few prefer the 2 over 3. The 3 was claimed to be slightly more clean and detailed than the 2. The 2 was said to have more weight and drive i...
replace Mcintosh with Luxman
Reading the enthusiasm here, I’ll add to the endorsement of the Luxman over Mcintosh. My single experience with the Mcintosh back in the day was with the MC275 mk4. At first it’s a nice, warm tubey sound, rather pleasant but that’s about it. After...
