Anybody have a Pass Labs Int 60 then step up to a Pass Labs Int 250?
https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/pass-labs-int-250-and-int-60     denon1 319 posts 11-11-2019 11:32pm I compared both in my system and currently have int-250. Even so the sound signature is the same, the INT-250 is more...
Products you added to your system in 2021 that made most impact to your music enjoyment
I first added the Isoacoustics Gaia II to the speakers. The Nobsounds then came in, used on solid state amps. Both brought good improvements to the system. Recommended.
The Proverbial "best amp" for Focal Sopra No. 1
Naim and Focal are said to be natural partners but some say the merge is purely on business and profits. Having said that, there are a handful of owners who use Naim on Sopra No. 1 and 2 speakers. Check out the Naim forum and you would notice.   ...
How to tame a bright system?
2nd suggestion for Nobsound springs. Get 2 sets and place them under your amp, then the DAC. Guaranteed to make the sound mellow and treble less tinny, sounding fuller, lusher and more analog. The only disadvantage is you need to spend some time a...
Headphones vs full range speakers
Question is who has gone from listening to speakers for your main listening pleasure to headphones or vice versa.   I went the other way round although I lived with both for a considerable period of time during my younger days. I tried to like...
Headphones vs full range speakers
When i succeed to install my relatively good but low cost audio system in his rightful three dimensional embeddings controls space, i throw all my SEVEN ,dynamics, electro-acoustic,magneplanar,or hybrid headphones in a drawer for ever...   Sam...
Hearing loss
I stopped using earphones and headphones when I was in my mid 30s. Somehow I prefer listening to music on loudspeakers. Hearing damage is closely correlated to extended exposure to music/noise at high levels. For this reason I now mostly listen at...
Nobsound springs - load range
Have you tried to stick with 3 units and put some weight on your DAC to reach the desired compression?   No I haven't. Will need to find something suitable to be added as weight. That will come later.
Nobsound springs - load range
In a thread *** Specifically *** to discuss  Nobsound Audio products the usual suspect starts **** Pedalling **** a competitors product 🙄   I'm sure the Townshend Pods are great and superior to the Nobsounds, but at their current prices they o...
Nobsound springs - load range
Right folks, a little update on the Nobsound experiment under the DAC. This one is a lot trickier as the component is rather lightweight at 15 lbs. I started with 3 footers with 1 spring in each, all in direct contact with the chassis. The springs...
Nobsound springs - load range
@hm9001 appreciate the confirmation. Perhaps the springs in my Nobsounds are different, which is certainly weird if that’s the case. Or perhaps there is error in my calculations. My amp weighs 28.4 kg in the spec sheet, and it takes a total of 18 ...
Nobsound springs - load range
charcoalchuck 11 posts 11-27-2021 4:16pm Hm9001 has some hard data and some mock it? Ugh.   It appears that you have trouble differentiating between mocking and seeking clarification.
Isoacoustics Orea vs Townshend Seismic Pod on Components
Gents, I have found the best spring configuration after 5 days of experimentation. In brief summary, the Nobsounds have brought an appreciable improvement to my system. They are used on a Class A integrated amp, 4 footers under the component's fe...

Nobsound springs - load range
@hm9001 I measured the compression of the springs, it takes ~2.5 kg per spring to compress it to 50%. Based on 50% compression target, this yields the following sweet spot configurations (only stable ones, total equipment weight): - 3 units, 3 ...
