More expensive = better? Yes, but there's a catch. Not all $8k integrateds sound the same. There are $8k integrateds disguised to look like $8k but sound like $2k so you've got to do some picking.
New Dynaudio Heritage Special..?..! Looking great Beatlebum! The Heritage Specials look good. The Luxman L-509X looks good too. I have the Luxman L-590AXII with Marten Duke 2 and they both go very well together. Sorry, no pictures of the Heritage Specials. 😁
NORDOST SORT FUT VS. ISOACOUSTICS GAIA Sounds like a big pile of BS to me too. The GAIA II made a huge difference under my GE Triton Refs, The website of Critical Mass doesn’t look good to me too. The footers appear to come without threaded holes for speaker installations hence I’m ...
Isoacoustics Orea vs Townshend Seismic Pod on Components Ordinary springs like Nobsound are more sensitive to loading. They tend to sound full and warm when compressed a lot, thin and extended when not loaded enough. Very good description, I couldn't agree more.
Isoacoustics Orea vs Townshend Seismic Pod on Components @astolfor , getting very technical there but rather useful to know the Gaias are more effective than the Oreas with lower figures in the decay. I have the Gaia and Nobsound but do not have experience with the Oreas. The Gaias work well under speak...

Power Cords 12-08-2021 5:59am @bo1972 still waiting for your review on the Audiquest Hurricane PC.
What say you? I think I may be the only one here who spend more on cables than the equipment. I paid more for the power cord than the DAC that’s connected to it. Yes, the power cord is more expensive than the DAC in my main system. My amp costs a lot more so t...
Looking for a SS integrated Amplifier recommendation going into a new system I will have a chance to do home audition for Luxman 590AXii early next month
Nobsound springs - load range All of audio is trial and error. Test and evaluate, tweak and evaluate some more. This is no different. Anyone things a system is plug and play, sorry. This one thing more than anything else will hold you back. On 2nd thought, in this contex...
Nobsound springs - load range Folks, an update. I’ll cut to the chase. Please put some effort in the set up of the Nobsounds as they have proven to be effective, only when properly set up. As mentioned earlier, no shortcuts. I can confirm that the footers have brought an imp...
Nobsound springs - load range Most people wind up with a lot of springs left over. They fit perfectly into a 1/4" hole. This makes it real easy to DIY extra ones. Simply drill 1/4" holes in some wood, MDF, acrylic, etc and put em together. Good suggestion. I entertained the...
Nobsound springs - load range After hearing the benefits of the Nobsounds in my system, I am now an advocate of good or proper isolation for both speakers and components. The Nobsounds may not be the best product in the market but they certainly have the potential of improving...

Anybody have a Pass Labs Int 60 then step up to a Pass Labs Int 250? I also have a Luxman 590 AUii which I also enjoy but for different reasons. The pass is smooth as silk and fuller. The Lux is more detailed with huge dynamics and just sounds so effortless. This is useful. I believe it's the Luxman L-590AXII... |
