Ideal power cord lengths?
@nyev: I guess your equipment now is placed in the hallway, 2m from your fuse box?
Using battery power to go off the City's power grid
Why not use a 36 or 48 V battery and connect it directly to your amp's internal diode bridge rectifier, bypassing all troubles from 110/240V, inverters and what have you? It'll be a lot cleaner, and cheaper.
Rant against the industry with hopes for discussion on positive change
How many youngsters still play with model trains? Times, they are a-changin'.
Amp Internal Wire
My guess is those internal amp wires are too short to make a difference and you might do more harm than good removing them and (poor) hand soldering new ones. But if you like to go for it ... don’t forget the wires inside your speakers. Depending...

Questionable Tweak
This is the best tweak of them all: Also trim your ear hairs. They each have their individual osscillation frequency and when excited by air vibrations they distort the sound.
Need recommendations for a streamer
You lost me here: have balanced outputs to go to my DAC. What do you mean by ’upgrade to higher quality’? Quality of what? As long as the signal is in the digital domain there is no upgrade in the sound. You plan to use a separate DAC, so all you...
OMG. What now?
Yes, that is a recognizeable dilemma. When all the reading, testing, trying, buying, installing, tweaking and critical listening for changes is over ... well ... then it’s over. Now your feet not only taps with the music, but also from impatience ...
The greatest tweak ever?
Fill your room with Helium ... you won't believe your ears.
What's better, one conductor or two conductors for an RCA interconnect?
But I see higher end RCA cables with two conductors and ground wire. @jumia Can you show an example of such cable?
Bang for the buck ... high Q/$ ratio.
I second the Bluesound. Got myself one recently. It sounds good and its ease of use via the app is simply wonderful. I can't exactly consider it cheap with its price tag around that of an i5 laptop, but its a piece of equipment one can greatly enj...
DAC diminishing returns
Does the significantly higher cost justify what might be a marginal increase in sound quality? Do this test and see if you get it right 100%. If not ... no need to spend more money. https://www.npr.org/sections/therecord/2015/06/02/411473508/how...
