The "Snake Oil" Trope
These speaker cables set you back some $20,000.https://in-akustik.de/de/kabel-zubehoer/referenz-air/air-technologie/They probably sound very ... eh ... transparent? (You can try them for free btw). Now open up your loudspeaker cabinet and look insi...
Are you also leaving free (virtually) performance on the table?
Use gold plated terminals ... they don’t oxidize (which is why they are gold plated).
Cables that measure the same but (seem?) to sound different
I won’t say there can’t be an audible difference, who knows there still are paramaters in play we didn’t measure (correctly). There also is this thing though that our ears fool us. Or actually it’s not our ears, they merely are the sensors, the tra...

I'm looking for a pair of interconnects that won't shatter the bank....
What I’d do is get myself some decent looking but not too much costing cables from no matter what brand or store. There are many myths about audio cables and most of it is marketing babble to lure your into paying top dollar for ’left rotating sil...
Spotify streaming from pc
Spotify had an audio quality setting. By default it's on 'Auto', it's unclear what that means. Put it on the highest possible quality, from what I read that's a 320 kbps stream.
DACMagic 200M + Node 2i
I’m considering buying a Soundcloud Node (successor of the 2i) as a streamer plus DAC, or a Cambridge 200M, connected to a fan less PC (Minix) that does the streaming. I read here however it could even be a good idea to pair the Node and the 200M?...
