Audiophile Fuses - Are We Certain They Provide Protection?
If one is going to start messing around with boutique fuses (which I don’t recommend), then don’t forget to adjust the flux capacitor resistor output so that the conditioned power intake is aligned properly with the faraday cage.😉
Preamp recommendations for my system please
I have a BAT VK-33 (non-SE) and it is an amazing sounding, bullet proof pre-amp. Being a non-SE version, you can roll 6922 tubes to your heart's content.
Joseph vs Legacy in 7K range?
As an owner of the JA Pulsars (v1), I can tell you that a sub is unnecessary with them in a small to medium sized room. In fact, I am considering selling my JL Audio e110 subwoofer because the bass of the Pulsars is plenty in my small room (10x9x8...
Adding an ignore list feature to audiogon
What the OP proposes exists already ... just ignore the post you don't want to see. There's been enough systemic cancel culture ... A'Gon doesn't need a cancel button.
Musical Fidelity
At one time I had a MF a3cr preamp, a300cr power amp, and Nu-Vista 3D CD player. I still have the Nu-Vista CD and it sounds great. Most MF gear, before the Tri-Vista and Kw lines, was really, really good, particularly since it was made in England....
Joseph Audio Pulsar – Original vs. Graphene opinions?
@prof  I heard the graphenes in someone else's system, in a small room somewhat similar to mine. I was not able to hear them side by side, but I could hear the difference almost immediately.
Joseph Audio Pulsar – Original vs. Graphene opinions?
@prof No, that wasn’t me. As I recall, that person put up his graphenes for sale shortly after purchasing them. As to the originals and the graphenes, the mids and highs are identical ... the sole difference, to me, is the bass bloat on the graphe...
Joseph Audio Pulsar – Original vs. Graphene opinions?
I have the original Pulsars, and have heard the graphenes. The original, to my ears, is smoothe all-around ... there is no one particular area that’s emphasized over another. OTOH, the graphenes to me have a slight over-emphasis in the bass region...
I agree with Keef
By self-sensoring, the Stones have let cancel culture win. How? Because the catalyst for the self-censorship IS the cancel culture. They’ve been playing the song for about 50 years, and all of a sudden they had an epiphany? Baloney! They caved due...
Bowers and Wilkins Nautilus 804 vs 804s
I had N804s for a long time.  Light in the bass department, even when driven by 225 wpc. Metal dome tweeter became quite harsh over the years. Traded them in for JA Pulsars, and am very happy.
MFSL Eagles Self-Titled
UPDATE ... as of today (9/2/21), the MoFi website states that the Eagles S/T is out of stock. Whew, that was quick.
BAT VK-53se vs 43se
Have heard them both ... they both are excellent. However, I’d go with the 53se over the 43se because the 43se, being solid state, sounds a bit "dryer" to me than the tube-based 53se. Quite frankly, I would go with a VK-33 or an older VK-3i since ...

@tomic601 Glad you enjoyed the review.
Should I trust movers with my equipment?
Absolutely NOT!
Steely Dan Recordings: Best Versions of Each 1972-1980
The thing about Steely Dan is that most of their work is very well recorded. Those guys were manic about ensuring excellent recording quality. So, you really can't go wrong with most versions.
