Reliability - what’s your experience been? 1. Cary has been the absolute worst cr*p I've ever owned. 2. BAT has been the absolute best gear I've ever owned ... great sound and built like a tank..
Phil Lesh One of the most underrated bassists of all time. Simply an amazing musician. RIP, Phil.
My Snubway and Main Stream Master Class Combo Review After having found additional receptacle space on my Zerosurge to plug in the Main Stream, I can state confidently that the Main Stream is the missing piece of the audio puzzle. The Snubway works great on its own, but both of them working in tande...
Magico speakers too clinical and fatiguing? I find all of the Magico series to be way too clinical for me. I have Joseph Audio Pulsars, and they sound terrific. You may wish to demo them, if possible.
Guitar playing audiophiles, Martin or Taylor? Yes, guitars ARE very personal. My go-to brand (except for a 12 string) is Martin ... fuller, warmer, and more pleasing tonally to me than Taylor. I have a D-18v, a D-28, and an HD-28vs slothead. These are amazing guitars and have different charac...
Outstanding Custom Dust Covers I just ordered one for my BAT VK-33 pre-amp ... black, double quilted, with open back to accommodate cabling. Reasonable price. Hope it lives up to the hype.

The other is used on the Zerosurge into which my subwoofer is plugged in. The Snubways provided immediate improvements in sound. In parti...
Is Recording quality the real culprit? I’m basically done with having put together my system. At this point, I buy the best quality recordings that I can find, and try not to worry about the gear anymore.
SnubWay Question Thread UPDATE: Thought I would update my review of the Snubway apearing earlier in this thread. My second Snubway came the other day and I have plugged it into the Zerosurge on which I have my subwoofer only. The other one is plugged into the Zerosurge ...

Main Stream, from Vera-fi Audio @ozzy ... burn-in is approximately 10-12 hours.
JA Pulsars vs Harbeth 30.2 I concur with Soix.
JA Pulsars vs Harbeth 30.2 I’ve got the original Pulsars and have heard the Harbeths as well. IMO, the Pulsars will give you all for which you are looking, plus some more. The Harbeths aren’t bad, but they sound a bit thin, particularly in the upper registers.
Main Stream, from Vera-fi Audio I’ve got a Snubway with another on order. It seems that the Snubway and Main Stream address two different areas of the audio spectrum. The Main Stream appears to deal with line noise from household components as opposed to switch mode noise from a... |
