Is Stealth Sakra IC is really better than Indra?
So Bullot, what's the missing 5%?Thanks.
Anybody heard the new Aerial 7T?
I just wanted to bump this thread for any latest reports, especially in comparison to the the good old 10t for Aerial-addicts. Thanks!
Vandersteen 5Aa Carbon--any 5a owner's opinions?
Yeah, the 5s and 5As were always best-of-show for me at the NY Stereophile shows year after year. One of the few I thought I could really live with long term & never feel the need to upgrade.
Spendor A9 : Your first impressions
I'm surprised Spendors are described as bright. I thought they were similar to Harbeths. This was my impression when I heard Spendors at shows. (I have Harb. SHL5s and sometimes I wish they were more resolving. They are anything but bright.)
Vandersteen 5Aa Carbon--any 5a owner's opinions?
How difficult is it to set up Vandersteen 5As yourself with the equalizer & all that?
Looking for "Last" 2 channel speaker system.
How is the bass is in the Von schweikert unifield 3?Specifically, is it well-defined, controlled, and transparent. Sometimes I have felt that while VSR always had, well, perfect mids/highs/vocals (just glorious, simultaneously very resolved but to...
Has anyone heard Rega's Isis CDP?
Achilles--what did you think of the Wilson Benesch speakers?

Hey Cat007, thanks for that very insightful answer that really answered my question well. Good writing! Best to you.
Are you too old to be an audiophile?
And besides, when you're older, what better use is there for your money that audio gear. Travel? The only travel that would make me happy is time-travel (backwards about 20+ years).
Are you too old to be an audiophile?
Well, John "Cougar" Mellencamp said life goes on, even after the thrill of livin' is gone. So you know, when you get older, a lot of the pleasures associated with being young aren't quite feasible, but lust for music can be indulged indefinitely.
Why do intelligent people deny audio differences?
I keep my audiophila habit a deep dark secret. Regular people think you're crazy or extravagant or both. Of course, these same people think it's fine and worthwhile to buy a Mercedes or BMW. I think people are influenced by the non-stop luxury car...
Emm Labs CDSA 'X' upgrade
Well, Sabai, I sure notice that the CDSA (& maybe most high end digital things) are super-sensitive to cables, especially power cables. The trick is to deal with the highs and sweeten them without horribly muddying up the bass. By the way, the...
FM tuners - Are they OBSOLETE ?
I'm nostalgic about listening to WNEW-FM and the like back in the 70s on my AR receiver. Free stereo music and cool disc jockeys! What more could you want? Ah, thinking of the night bird still gets me excited.
Esoteric K-01
Are you saying the K01 is a nice warmish player (on redbook)?Have you tried it on some poorly mastered CDs?
Power Cord shootout: Acrolink, LessLoss, & TelWire
Strangely, I like my Telwire on my CD player much better than some of the much better known multi-thousand $ cords I have. The best thing about it is the bass grip and control, which for some reason is better to my ears than the somewhat overwhelm...
