Beautiful Classical Smaller Pieces, duo,trio,etc
The Brahms Clarinet Quintet should be added to the list.
vandersteen Quatro or sonus faber elipsa
Both are excellent, good matches with your amp. While the Sonus Fabers are known as speakers for the music lover, I would say that the Vandys are as well, they are very versatile speakers that don't favor one genre of music over another. One possi...
JL Audio F110 Loud pop when pc unplugged ?
You might want to call them up or email them, overnight should be plenty of time.
JL Audio F110 Loud pop when pc unplugged ?
I would not unplug the unit unless an electrical storm is coming, then make sure the unit is off and not in standby, and don't unplug it until a few minutes after it's been turned off, that has worked for me.
HELP HELP - VENDETTA RESEARCH SCP2A FAULTY
Agree with Zd, reversing the power supplies (or switching the interconnect channels) might help isolate the problem. I also will assume that you have plugged both channels' power supplies into your step down transformer.
Clayton Audio Class A amps. Need amp advice
The model of the Krell mentioned, the 200s, was one of the first of Krell's amps that had a "sustained plateau" bias--definitely not a class A amp. It was not the class A KSA 200, which was two models before that (and a much better-sounding amplif...
How important is a good rack?
I like your idea of the wall-mount rack for the turntable, that can be very effective and convenient. As far as your Michael Green rack goes, I use one solely for the flexibility in adjusting the shelves, but I would not put a turntable on it, onl...
Brass screws make a real difference on Dunlavy s ?
Foster--in my case the bass was better defined, the sound a little more transparent as a result. Not earthshaking, but noticeable.
Why no Spectral phono stage?
You seem to be implying that there was another reason given that you doubt. What was that?
Brass screws make a real difference on Dunlavy s ?
I'd have to go with Peter on this one. My Duntech Princess speakers benefited from tightening the screws holding the drivers periodically, especially the woofers, but you do have to be careful not to over tighten (the Duntechs had inserts for the ...
Thinking about buying a different tube preamp...
What are you looking for in terms of a sound from your system? What would you like to improve on in the Jolida? If you want something that conveys musical ebb and flow and color superbly, with a very low noise floor, I would second anything from Sh...
omnidirectional sound
Get in touch with Mapman and Bondmanamp, they are owners. Really nice speakers; I almost got a pair years ago when they were sold at Tech HiFi.
omnidirectional sound
One possibility, and the one I think might be what you're ultimately looking for, is a multi-room installation, for which I'd recommend using a dealer. That way you could have music in each room and control the volume for each room as well. You ma...
Mirage M7si bass bump how to deal with it?/
Agree with Onhwy61, or else get one of the digital room correction units and use it to shape the in-room response.
EMT JSD 5 or JSD 6?
By the way, EMT also has a small and (at least at the time) relatively inexpensive SUT made specifically for the JDS cartridges. When I had a Lamm LP 2 Deluxe this step-up was a slight but noticeable improvement over the Lamm's built-in step up tr...
