And ironically, I got the "Sorry something went wrong" messages when I posted the above, even though it posted.

Is anyone having trouble with the forum being buggy lately? As in pages not loading?  (And then after a few tries, loading). This forum has always been the buggiest I've ever encountered, but lately it seems even worse.  Anyone else experiencing this?
Can you live with your current speaker until you die?
These threads are always fascinating and underline the subjectivity involved in our choices.   There are plenty of speakers others here call their last speaker that I could never live with, and that surely is the case with my speakers for other pe...

Well...trying to keep this related to Thiel...Having recently completed a very extensive auditioning period of a long list of speakers from $6,000 to around $20,000 or more retail (some new, some used), virtually every single one of those speakers...
What Characteristic Strikes You First About Un-amplified Music?
Excellent stuff, soix!As it happens, I'm both a fan of Joseph Audio (was planning on the Perspectives) AND I own MBL 121 radialstrahler speakers!  (And Thiels, and others...) .  So I have a bit of experience comparing these things. As for live vs r...

andy2,It's an interesting topic and it was a fascinating post.  Unfortunately, bringing the cable-burn in debate here is like dropping in to the Thiel thread to start a discussion "Are High End Cables Worth The Money?" or "Do AC Cables Really Make...

What Characteristic Strikes You First About Un-amplified Music?

You are indeed, very behind the curve ;-)Though Thiel folded, fortunately one of the main tech guys from Thiel, Rob Gillum, has opened up a business strictly servicing legacy Thiel speakers.  He's the one to contact - he has the knoweldge and plen...
Many seem to be talking about their last system .
teo_audio,In the meantime, Digital and it’s problems are misrepresenting music, and that is part of the problem. Subtle to the conscious mind but the lack of some important aspects of what pulls us in, for almost 20 years, wiped out an entire gene...
Many seem to be talking about their last system .
I'm 54 and I'm still going.   An ideal would be to find a single system that just did everything amazing.  But I've yet to encounter such a system (at least that I can afford) so, while I always love my current system, at some point I'm checking w...

Geeze, who is making all the posts that have to be removed?  In a Thiel owner's thread??

I've tried passive pre-amps before, as well as running my Benchmark DAC with it's own volume control directly in to my amps.  The results have always been the same.  At first I'm captivated by sense of transparency and zero haze, grain, etc.  It r...

Thanks for the info audiojan.I've had my JL Audio subwoofers for a looong time but still haven't got around to really giving a good try to integrate them with my 2.7s, even though I also bought the JL Audio CR-1 crossover, and an anti-node process...
