When is a mismatched center OK?
Keep in mind when you try to combine home theater and two channel audio together, compromises will be made.  Your job is to decide which is more important to you and proceed with that in mind. But performance will suffer for one of the two formats...
Why are equipment racks so expensive?
The only equipment that needs isolation is the turntable.   Absolute rubbish............
Why are equipment racks so expensive?
You don't have to break the bank to get something that is very good and affordable. Look no further than Butcher Block Acoustics for extremely well made racks that are relatively affordable.Oz
klipsh scala speakers
If the OPs son can stretch his budget, the current Forte or Cornwall will put many a modern day conventional speaker to shame. The Cornwall IV has been around long enough that they are hitting the used market. This speaker need make no apologies f...

The parasound hca 3500 i have owned it for twenty five years and have never heard or found a better overall amplifier for all speakers. My favorite tube amp is the sonic frontiers for the same reason Hilarious. The Parasound HCA 2500 II and the So...

Well you wanted opinions, here’s mine.I bought a used SLI-80 Signature a couple of years ago and only kept it about a week. It was just slow and uninvolving, no snap, no life. And this is with horns. I should have known since I had owned an SLP-98...

To horn or not to horn
I am so glad that i took the horn plunge in 2008 because they are truly amazing on the reproduction of any kind or type of music but you have to get one made prior to 1965 to truly hear a good one.1965 you say? No good ones after that you say?Wel...
Raven Blackhawk LE... am I going to be disappointed?
Unless I am misunderstanding, the sub out on the amp is a high pass xover just to remove the low frequencies from the main speaker. You would still control the volume of the sub with the control on the sub. You actually wouldn’t want that output t...
