Large Focal Speakers Shipping Service
Last year I used Old Dominion Freight to ship some large speakers and the price was reasonable. Check with some of your local freight companies. If not pleasantly surprised, at least you might not faint from sticker shock.Oz
As you have moved on, are there any items you remember fondly...or most fondly?
PBN Montana SP2 and original Von Schweikert VR4 Silvers are two speakers I really enjoyed.I always had a soft spot for the AI Modulus 3a. So much so that I owned it three times over the years.Oz
The stereo sounds fine, music is great, but Jeff Bezos came back to earth.
What’s really rich (besides bezos) is that you don’t hear any of the bleeding heart, leftist environmentalists screaming about all the fuel burned by this joy ride. They want to regulate cow farts but it’s fine to expel all those dangerous carbon ...
I have various speakers and audio equipment for sale. They 7-10 years old. Should I list?
If only there was a website on the internet for buying and selling audio equipment. If only..............
Will accidental max volume damage a speaker?
If  you didn't take out a tweeter immediately, you are fine. Some speakers with first order crossovers can easily have a tweeter damaged with a short burst of loud music. I've done it  before with Green Mountain Audio speakers. So if it sounds fine...
Klipsch Cornwall IV
Having owned Cornwall IIs and Bob Crites Cornscalas I will say that the cabinet of the CW IV has very little cabinet coloration that I can discern. The older cornwalls, and from what I've read, even the CW III, all had some form of cabinet resonan...

You guys are still plugging away as if this is a valid thread. How sad.......
Sopra 2 Bass
Welcome to the forum. You have gotten some good ( and some not so good) advice so far. I won't reiterate what's been said but I would recommend dumping the VTI rack. I had one briefly and I couldn't believe how much it negatively affected the soun...

LYRA DELOS CARTRIDGE TOO BRIGHT, THIN AND SHRILL SOUNDING
You guys are treating this thread as a serious thread and the poster as relevant. Could anything be more ridiculous?
Tube Preamp - What to buy?
@tvad I had one of those back in the mid 90s. IIRC, it had a very nice sounding phono stage.Oz
klipshorn speakers
Sorry, horns belong on the top of poles at high school football stadiums, not in boxes in your house. I nominate this for "Lamest Response Of The Year".
Klipsch Chorus 2 near Nashville??
Why would you look “all over the country” when you want them to be “near Nashville”?
LYRA DELOS CARTRIDGE TOO BRIGHT, THIN AND SHRILL SOUNDING
Yeah I wouldn’t delete the thread either. It’s important for Audiogon members to historically note who the OP is. Let it stand, very informative.
klipshorn speakers
+1 @fatdaddy2 A pair of klipschorns will be wasted in this situation. The recommendation of a pair of CVs is spot on, although add a pair of cheap subs for good effect.I'll bet dollars to donuts the OPs son doesn't have a room that will support kh...
