Tekton versus Klipsch
@missioncoonery You just have an axe to grind. I'm sure even people who agree with you have tired of it long ago.........Oz
Klipsch Cornwall IV
That's a good point about the variety of amps that can drive these things with ease. My LM 518 shouldn't have a problem at all. @simao  I had a 518i a while back and it is indeed a great amp, it wasn't the best pairing with horns. I used it wit...
Tekton versus Klipsch
@larryi are you referring to the CW IV or earlier versions?

Good to hear @jayrossi13
Tekton versus Klipsch
Having not heard the current versions of Tektons it would be foolish of me to speculate. Just as it's foolish for MC to make the comments he did. You can't dismiss out of hand a loudspeaker you have never been in the same room with. That said, I di...
The Worst Room...
My room is actually very good. 15.5 x 26 and is a dedicated space. Only used for listening to music. And yes, I do feel fortunate to have this space and credit my wife for being very understanding while house shopping 15 years ago.IMHO, the worst ...
Love for Spatial Audio Sapphire M5s
I had a pair of X3s for about a year. Clayton is very good to deal with and makes some fine products.Oz
Do you care about car audio?
I've said this in this forum before, so if you've heard it, bear with me.Back in the 90s, Richard Clark had two cars that were simply incredible on the IASCA circuit. A Cadillac and a Buick Grand National. The GN was the later car for him. But you...
This is very timely...
I agree with @bdp24 , Brent Butterworth outlived his usefulness in the 90s heyday of home theater when it was in its infancy. And it’s no surprise that Soundstage poo poos high sens. speakers and low watt tube amps. Look at some of the overpriced ...

If everything I’ve heard about them is true, Lyric Audio killed Lyric Audio. And not a moment too soon.........Oz

So far I have used a music reference RM9 II (125 watts), Granite Audio monoblocks (60 watts), NOS valves ST-45 (40 watts), and now an Aric Audio Super KT88/150 SE with the cornwalls. The 14 watts/channel of the Aric amp have been the star of the sh...
Raven Audio Nighthawk
I have owned amps from VTL, Manley, NOSvalves, Granite Audio, that were switchable into Triode/UL and none of them sounded as good in Triode mode.
Raven Audio Nighthawk
I didn't really care for it in triode. Had enough power, but the bass was MIA and transients were too soft. Whole different ball game in ultralinear.Oz
The best speaker you ever heard?
bill clinton, conveyed ideas in plain english, compelling and No Bill Clinton fan here at all. But I think most any sane person would welcome him back with open arms when viewed in the current climate..........
Raven Audio Nighthawk
@ozzy62 Thanks! Glad to hear the Aric is working out. Is that a 300B amp? No, it's the Super KT88/150 SE. I am currently using KT88s but have a set of KT120s on the way to try. This is truly a great sounding amp. I would love to talk to Aric ab...
