Why Don't More People Love Audio?
I played an old analogue recording of Joan Baez on vinyl to my wife and she said it was "good but there's too much detail"...Then I played the DDD CD she recorded (she is a wonderful mezzo-saprano). It was fairly flat. Then I played her a 60s reco...

Looking for integrated amp with phono for starter
Croft Integrated. Tube phono and line stage with mosfet power amp stage. It's a minimalist design but fast and musical.

Thorens TD-316?
I wouldn't. The arm isn't great. An Audio Technical 95e would be a better bet.
