By the way, good as the Pioneer is, your preamp is in a different league. A better turntable will allow you get better results from higher-end analog.

Thanks bdp24. I tried loading the Decca with 33k many years ago in an Ittok and liked it better at 47k. The Croft preamps seem to play well either way. Tempted to do the DeccaPod. What improvements have you experienced?

No snark intended. Funds that would yield better results on other components end up going into expensive cables to compensate weaknesses in the system. 
Leaving the Naim game . . .
My dealer sold Linn/Naim back in the day. One day he was testing out some new gear from the UK - a $200 tube preamp - which blew away the multi-box and expensive Naim gear. This little Croft Micro set me on the path of tubes and I have never looke...
