Why don't you try it yourself? Worst it can do is slow it down if the platter drive is too weak. If it sounds better, then use it. I don't think it will though.

@bydlo re the Ti screws being lighter, the small sound difference could be caused by moving the counterweight closer to the pillar.

Very satisfied for the most part. It would be nice to test new arms and cartridges, or swap in a test phono amp etc. I guess it's like fancying a bit of strange but hanging with what you've got.

A trick I used to use was to dim the light down so the amp is in the dark but you can see what you’re doing. Turn them on with test speakers connected. Have adjustment tool ready and as tubes heat up, adjust bias so that the plates start to glow s...
