Balanced vs Non-Balanced XLR?
True differentially balanced components eliminate 2nd order harmonics, at least internally. What the speaker does is another story. From a purist point of view, distortion is distortion and the manufacturers that build this way must feel it's wort...

Will An Attenuator Help Reduce This Hiss?
Just to be different, Prometheus TVC's offer up to 54dB attenuation and isolation as well for under $500. Haven't read of any shipping backlogs for years. You can take a look at the Bent Audio stuff as well. If you're up for some DIY, I believe bo...
B&W matrix 800 or genesis V
A little while ago, a pair of V's was selling for $2500 US out of Chicago. The question is: Do you deserve to own Genesis?

Victical bi-amp or mono block?
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't those Mac's "monostrapped" or paralleled, instead of bridged. If so, they double current and are better into tougher loads.

Why do I like Class AB better than Class A?
I have a couple of the same amps. The difference between those modes of operation can be subtle, depending on the recording and the volume. Patience... you'll hear it. After a while, you'll never want to listen in anything other than class A. Prob...
