Thiel CS 2.2 Speakers... What you all think? I am not surprised that all of the Thiel lovers are here, as the title of the thread does not mention Klipsch Heresy. As the largest Klipsch Heritage junkie ( there are another 1 or 2 here ), on the 'Gon, I will say this. A few simple mods to the ...
Lightning quick DYNAMIC amp in the under $1000 range bstat, anything to report ? or is it too soon ?
Thiel CS 2.2 Speakers... What you all think? Personally, I do not think so. What kind of upgrade ( s ) are you looking for ? What do you like, and dislike, about the Heresy 2s ? What are your room dimensions, and how do you have the speakers set up relative to your listening seat ? What musi...
Lightning quick DYNAMIC amp in the under $1000 range You would need signal into the amp for everything to cook properly. I would recommend some audible output on the amp. You can take a source directly into your amplifier and use the input level controls on the amp ( you have a tube pre, right ? ). ...
Lightning quick DYNAMIC amp in the under $1000 range tomic, I like the way you think !
Lightning quick DYNAMIC amp in the under $1000 range If it were sunny outside, I would be at the pool. Give this cord at least a week, to break in, running your power amp continuously 24 / 7, with a signal ( it can be at low volume ), if you can. After a week, we can talk about another move to make....
Cambridge Audio Azur 851N Network Player I am completely on board with millercarbon. I do believe in fuse upgrades, as they improve sq. However, fuses are there for a reason, and if you go up in value too much, you are risking the fuse not doing its job, during an electrical cycle of sor...
Lightning quick DYNAMIC amp in the under $1000 range bstat, wonderful. I believe jetter ( who is, unfortunately, angry with me at the moment ), stated above, he was enjoying the Waudio pcs. I find that the iec plug might be a little loose at the amp end, and if you find this to be the case, trim a b...
Speaker of the Century Award Goes To .... DS, What did you say ? I can't hear you...So many loud sounds around us in everyday life. Horns from nearby cars, construction site machinery, planes flying above ( likely near an airport ), live unamplified music, lawn mowers, NYC subway platform...
Integrated with passive preamp section. Good or bad idea, or both ? Audio Research makes them. I had one on loan to me, so I know first hand. I believe more companies do as well.
Speaker of the Century Award Goes To .... Eric, I appreciate your friendly and adult response, as I did not indicate anything negative, only to say, what I like. And yes, horns are an old design. But, as I mentioned on another thread a few weeks ago ( I believe it was your thread " design...
Speaker of the Century Award Goes To .... Eric, I understand you are in an apartment, and your post does cater to listeners of the same sort. But, I feel, if a speaker ( system, actually ) cannot handle musical peaks in the 110db range ( of course, using recordings that have wonderful dyn...
Speaker advice for listening to Blues music Cedar, thank you. Yes, the Heresy needs a sub or 2, and so does the Lascala. But the larger mid horn, and the bass horn ( also known as the dog house to us Klipshers ) on the Lascala, is a different animal altogether. But do what you are doing, an...
Speaker advice for listening to Blues music br3098. You meant to say : There is no reason why these speakers will " not " sound great with your Primaluna. A newbie might not take what you said the proper way. All good, and I am sorry for re - appearing here.
Most “disappeared” speakers. I agree with br3098 and Douglas Schroeder. Attention to details, such as proper room set up, and any speaker can do a disappearing act. |
