Klipsch La Scala half-wall corners? The Lascala’s do not benefit with corners the way the Klipschorns do. You would still need a pair of very fast and tight subwoofers to extend the presentation to full range with the last octave. My opinion, and, my experience. Enjoy ! MrD.
Speaker advice for listening to Blues music Maggies are not electrostatic designs. They are a planar; a panel speaker. Cedar, why not have 2 systems set up ( 2 amps, 2 pr speakers ) ? A second for your poorer recordings. You will go nuts trying to make poorer recordings sound good on a high...
Speaker advice for listening to Blues music Cedar, you are welcome to take a drive to me, and listen to a pair of Heresy 2s, and my other, main system, with my Lascalas. You can pm me for the details. Enjoy ! MrD.
Speaker advice for listening to Blues music I also believe, that with you being on stage, playing through "equipment ", has a bit of a livelier, punchier, more dynamic sound, than many hifi systems, and, hifi speakers. The JBLs mentioned by nonoise, or some Klipsch models, can be used as a ...
Speaker advice for listening to Blues music Orange City, Florida, south a bit from Daytona Beach, off of I-4. Speaking of Alvin Lee. His " The Bluest Blues " is awesome. My systems are very revealing, and if I am listening to a bad recording ( poorly mic’d, over compressed, ridiculous use o...
I'm having a really hard time with: "Power cable reduced my soundstage"... " Another " power cord thread ?
Speaker advice for listening to Blues music Cedar, where in CF are you located ? I might not be far from you.
Speaker advice for listening to Blues music I will jump in for a moment. I am a Klipsch Heritage fanatic, going back to my youth ( mid 60s ). I agree that the Heresy will do well for you. But I am wanting to make a point. I own 3 sets of Heritage, currently ( 2 pr Heresy, 1 pr Lascala). Adm...
PS Audio Delta 100 Based on how many amplifiers ( and not just amplifiers ) I have owned in my lifetime, it is not uncommon to find different components ( capacitors, transformers, etc. ) to be exact, without a model change to the product, from companies such as P.S...
Need a preamp? I am with Atmasphere on this one, having gone passive ( permanently ) 2 years ago, and having a few units.
Soundstage disappeared!? When going from a multichannel receiver to a stereo receiver, driving the same 8 speakers, things are definitely going to sound different. The DRA 355R receiver is 40 watts, and not rated to play below 4 ohms. If the prior receiver was an avr unit...
Anyone heard Schiit's Aegir? I believe heavily, in class A amplification. I have had many in my lifetime, and still own a few. I have a HK Citation 12, that was worked on by an engineer buddy of mine from 30 years ago. He changed the amp to a 1 wpc class A amp, to run a pair ...
TA-102 fo.Q Product from Japan "TRY These" I grew up using mortite, and since it's introduction, use Dynamat as a dampening material ( speaker horns, speaker frames, speaker boxes, tt platters, component chassis’s, etc., with great success, and improved sq). Would this tape be as effective...
Distortions that the human ear likes. Are there any ? Al, I think you hit the nail on the head. I believe the engineer was implying " deviation from accuracy ". This makes the most sense, and the dictionary says the same, and not just about audio. Al, I believe the question was answered. T.Y. Always,...
Distortions that the human ear likes. Are there any ? Listen, " as far as I am concerned ", there are three distortions I am easily aware of, and I do not like any of them in a system. One, is obviously amplifier clipping, which is very unpleasant, and one that I personally, in my own system, I never... |
