Klipsch speaker choices Helo, I appreciate your response. Unlike you, I do accept, and appreciate, that not everyone listens the same, uses the same " references " when listening to recorded music, and that each individual, determines what it is that " they are after ", ...
Klipsch speaker choices " there is absolutely no good reason in buying a Klipsch speaker "....from the guy who thought, and probably still does ( and not so long ago ), that original Advents were the best there was, regardless of cost....I take what Helo says, with a sin...
Klipsch speaker choices I am not understanding, those that have dampened the mid and tweeter horns, and have not heard improvements, let alone, differences. Early on, the metallic horns were nasty, as they " rang ", and the later poly plastic horns, also have some resona...
Jeff Rowland Model 1 OP, sounds like your mind is made up. Good luck, and enjoy ! MrD.
Jeff Rowland Model 1 George, I am with you, not questioning you at all...Following the few posts by the OP, it appears he owns Maggies. A friend of his has ML, and purchased a Model 1.......The OP does not like mosfets either, including Pass......Opinions vary, experi...
Jeff Rowland Model 1 Here is another perspective...Although it was a great amp in it’s day ( well built, single ended and balanced, switchable input impedance, bridge capability, ran the driver stage continuously, unless the rear power switch was off, during a vacatio...
What would be involved in updating Hersey II’s to Hersey IV’s? Actually, having 50 plus years, owning and fiddling with a particular brand, has certainly had a tremendous effect, and influence, on how I have listened to recorded music, and gave me a " reference ", to every other design and model, by others, a...
What would be involved in updating Hersey II’s to Hersey IV’s? @oddiofyl , fyi, there have been Heresy type speaker designs produced by Klipsch, for the live / pro side of their business, and the cabinets were ported, using a different woofer. These model 4s will be the best of the Heresy line, imo.
What would be involved in updating Hersey II’s to Hersey IV’s? " Not my cup of tea ". @jsautter ...Same for me, with your overpriced loudspeakers. To me, they sounded compressed, mellow, seamed to be weak, with the leading edge of instruments, and did not, for me, have that " jump " factor, I look for, which ...
Who needs a Preamp?? I am a bass fanatic, in both substance, and detail. I hear nothing that suggests compression, lack of weight or heft, or any negatives, spoken about here. This subject will never go anywhere, as I have mentioned many times before....there is no ri...
What would be involved in updating Hersey II’s to Hersey IV’s? Wolf, glad you found it. All that was needed was to Google : Klipsch Heresy 4......Roy Delgado is truly taking these PWK designs, to the next level, imo.....
Help with hookup You might want to try single ended connections between the preamp and amp ( rca to rca ).
Who needs a Preamp?? One more thing....imagine your favorite artist ( piano player, sax player, vocalist, it does not matter ), and you had the ability to have him / her, play for you, solo. These are your choices. ( 1 ) you could hear him / her, perform, at his / he...
Who needs a Preamp?? Assuming all impedance and voltages are matched, passive is superior in sq, to me, at least. However, I feel it might come down to the recordings, themselves. My highest quality recordings, shine, and the extra gain stage, those I have heard, obsc...
Who needs a Preamp?? Luminous Audio makes one..... |
