Suggestions for Phono Preamp I really like my Rogue Audio Triton 2. Really dynamic. I have not compared it against similarly priced units, just basically bough it off reviews and it worked out. It’s got the little switched but they are on top of the unit under a little plate ...
Focal’s heart grew three sizes that day @mijostyn , Impressive system and very cool room! Curious do you use room correction when playing vinyl?
Focal’s heart grew three sizes that day Other amps used were a little Jolida 50 watt EL34 integrated and a sansui AU9500.
Focal’s heart grew three sizes that day The old amp is a Musical Fidelity A1008 @250 watts a channel.
Focal’s heart grew three sizes that day Also my B&W 801 Matrix V.2 were come to life. Although it kind of brought out the fact they probably need to have the crossovers changed out as they get kinda hard and lost at higher volumes. I know I know it’s another bitch to drive speaker.
What would cause noise (ground noise?) when touching the volume control and tone controls? As a first step I would put a cheater plug on the lower cable to lift the ground and see if it goes away.
Bang for the buck Wow that is a damn deal! I’m tempted although I don’t need them. Heard a lot of good things about them.
Bang for the buck Damn! I didn’t know that add on bass module existed! I likely would have kept them and tried out the bass module had I known. I prefer a 3 way for more dynamic music.
Bang for the buck I just sold my CSS Criton 1TDX. They are a very nice speaker and definitely lean to the warm side but are still detailed enough and are dynamic. Remind me a lot of higher end Dynaudios. Also they like power.
Bang for the buck @labguy, “Solid state front end. May upgrade to a better integrated but plan to stay solid state.” Are you using a home theater reciever, vintage integrated, etc. What is it you have exactly. Home theater Receiever on an efficient speaker may...
Demise of bass quality in Main speakers @clearthinker , Are you referring to B&W 801 and 802?
Børresen M3 vs. CSS (Jay Iyagi) vs. Wavetouch Why would there be? You talk about how every other speaker is crap and “only natural sound is WT”. Did you come here for compliments? Natural and un natural is subjective and to my ears on the BS YouTube video your speakers don’t sound very good. ...
Bang for the buck You didn’t mention what your front end is? Tubes, ss, receiver? Makes a huge difference on your pic.
Børresen M3 vs. CSS (Jay Iyagi) vs. Wavetouch @milhorn, “Many people have devoted their life time to find the perfect natural sound reproduction audio and are searching for it right now. I did the same and I found the close to perfect natural sound audio.” That’s your opinion that you and m...
Børresen M3 vs. CSS (Jay Iyagi) vs. Wavetouch Even though this is basically meaningless (recorded in different rooms using different recording equipment then listening on a completely unrelated speaker or headphone) I will say the Borreson sounds the best by a mile. Not saying the WT sound ba... |
